V7 Starter switch fail - No Power - Power Loss

Me and a friend both have 2013 V7 Specials and we've both experienced the wires becoming unsoldered on the back of the key/ignition switch. Wires coming undone on the back of the switch effectively simulate turning the key to the OFF position. If you're riding along and the engine cuts out if...

    V7 fuel filter WARNING!

A good bit of preventative maintenance that cost me about $8AUD all up.

    V7 fuel filter WARNING!

Replaced the filter on my '13 Special on the weekend. Original filter wasn't anywhere near as swollen and bloated, I'll put that down to different countries fuel types etc. Took a lot of fiddling to get out. Not so much fiddling to put back in... Had a check engine light come up on the dash...

    V7 III - Has arrived

Nice one mate. Where abouts in Aus are you? I've got Mistrals on my 13 Special at the moment and they are nice. They're not as nice sounding as the Lafranconi Competitzione mufflers that I had on last year but the Mistrals look better/more classic and are still amazing with the baffles...

    Possible New Owner, Advice Needed

Even more time to enjoy those sweet spots! I can't believe how much of a difference it makes through the corners to keep the engine in the upper region of the rev range. Bliss.

    Possible New Owner, Advice Needed

Mate. People have always loved the simplicity of the Moto Guzzi configuration and I am no exception. The engine, gearbox and final drive is all lined up nice and neat, just like a car. The V7 has two valves per head (half the amount of work compared to other more complex twins) and they stick...

    V7ll Racer cell phone mount?

http://www.100mph.com.au/product/quad-lock-bike-mount-kit-for-iphone-6-6s I've only heard great things about the Quad Lock system. Designed for push bikes but apparently works absolutely flawlessly on motorcycles...

V7 Stone Rearsets with Stock Handlebars

I use Racer rearsets on my Special with Norman Hyde M Bars and I love the rearsets regardless of any handlebar option (mind you I'm knee-height to a grasshopper so...). So far I've used both the stock footpegs AND rearsets with stock handlebars, clip ons, low rise tracker bars and now the M bar...

    Exhaust flange nuts

Hey all, I don't know how I noticed when I was moving my bike yesterday but one of my exhaust flange nuts had backed out and was rubbing on the header pipe. Engine was cold so I nipped it up and thought I'd check the others as well. They were all quite loose - both left and right sides. Guzzis...

    V7 Special battery cover

No worries mate. If you end up getting Todd's ECU reflash tool then you'll need to know how to access the battery to plug the device in to power =) Don't know about a good shop manual unfortunately...

    V7 Special battery cover

Gotta love the Italian-English translated sections of the factory manual haha. On my '13 Spesh (it's even the same colour as yours!) you first take out the small bolt in the side cover (the one closest to the injector cover) using an allen key. Then you can prise the side cover off, the other...

    Weird Noises all about

Well done mate! I too had a CX500 before selling it to get my V7. Needless to say even though I built the CX into a great looking bike and learnt so so much from the process I really do prefer the V7 haha. I love the "chukkachukkachukka" noise that the dry clutch makes in neutral. It's subtle...

    V7 BAAK Speedo install issue

I'm interested to see how you get on with the BAAK unit. I've seen their stuff online and it looks pretty swish. Keep us updated with how you get on with the Motogadget gear as well =)

    Final drive leak thread

I've been following this thread for a while because when I first picked my bike up last year I was also having this issue. But now it's totally fine and doesn't leak anymore. I've checked all the levels and they're fine, it just all of a sudden stopped. I'm thinking that the final drive was...
