    V7 Racer performance

Right you are. The 820 kit seems to be the only game in town. Guess I have to mull this over a bit longer. But then again, winter is coming and prices drop!

    V7 Racer performance

I have my eye on a very nicely kitted used V7 Racer and Have one question: how can the performance be improved? The simple matters like mapping and exhaust have been tended to and yet the bike still leaves one wanting. It pull fine, handles fine but feels like a Griso with one cylinder shut...

    What to do about fuelling

Flat tappets die! I purchased a very low milage 2010 Griso, less than 10k, rode it for about 1k and just could not get the tappet issue out of my head. So, I took the right side apart and found this: Now mind you I am a wrench at heart, so the job is rather easy for me to perform myself...

OK - I give up. Norge reserve tank??

1gal. tank strapped on the pillion, set trip meter to "0", run till dry, make note of mileage and subtract 10% and that is your range. Then use the 1gal. to get you to a filling station. That way there is no guessing on range and the "entertainment gauge" (a.k.a. fuel gauge/light) can be ignored.

    Heat, de-cat = effect

The fuel gauge on the Breva is for entertainment purposes only; like it was on my GS1150. Per odometer, I am getting, around town, 43mpg; on the highway around 46mpg. My Breva 1100 is bone stock with the crossover. Thought I might chime in since I started this thread. :giggle:

    New Owner - 2010 Griso

I also purchased a used low mileage Griso V8; 2010 model also traded in on a new Griso. I have been riding it as my "fun" Sunday go to church bike and thus far no noise of the valve train. I was told that it is time to worry when the valves do not hold their lash - time will tell. I will ride...

    Durability/Quality question

Between a 850 T-3, Ambassador, Eldorado and California II I was never stranded. Each and every one soldiered me to my 2 100,000 mile Guzzi pins. Now mind you each and everyone of them had their nargles, but never one that stranded me. No, after 10 years off MG, I am back with a 2010 Griso and a...

    Ducati Scrambler 2015...

First time I sat on the Ducati Scrambler I felt like I was on a Honda 350; the butt remembers :giggle:

what do y'all think? yay or nay?

Took a Scout out for a test spin; a "sporsterish" feel. The bike was OK but compared to a Sporster there where a lot of plastic shortcuts that reminded me of rice HD copies.

Just sufficient number of motorbikes to fill the empty space.

    Breva brake pedal

I had to bend my pedal straight and heat was ticket. After removing it from the bike, I placed it in a soft jawed vice. Then heated the area where I needed to bend it while adding a little pressure to the vice jaws. When it started to move the way I wanted to I backed off the heat and gave it a...

    Griso Clicked over 100k

I do not know if Guzzi still does it, but in years back, the company gave out 100,000 pins. Personally I have two, one for a Ambasador the other for a Cali II.

    Heat, de-cat = effect

I am a new to injected Geese; but I am willing to bet the 12 would react like my 07 should. Worst that can happen is a need for a re-map.

    Heat, de-cat = effect

Aussiedave, Good to know that the crossover does what I am aiming for. Our temps are about the same as most of Australia so if it works for you, it wil work for me. After the crossover is mounted I will turn the O2 sensor off, ECU tweak, set the idle aim at 1100 and a tad riches - live should...

Good show; loose the pounds and the heat in one go - plus get a lower idle.
  17. rudolf35

    Heat, de-cat = effect

I have a 2007 Breva 1100 and after the first 1k, I did note the excessive heat off the pot below the transmission - it put my R1150 GS to shame as a heat generator. That being said, I found the Mistral crossover and now the question is what are the side effects of the "de-cating"? On the GS...

    Back in the fold

Well, after a 15 year hiatus I am back in the Guzzi fold. Recently purchased a very well appointed 07 Breva and happy I did. My first Guzzi, a 1971 Trotter and my last a 1986 Califonia II, traded for a Triumph in 1999, it was time to go pasta again. I did like the Cali II but the points and...
