    Connecting electrical accesories

There is a plug coiled up just under the tank on the right side of the tank. You just have to remove the plastic shroud in front of the tank to access it. I connected my GPS to it (as that is what it is there for). The GPS cable has lots of other connections (like usb) which I coiled up and put...

2013 California Touring - Windshield looks foggy

I use "cat crap" on my helmet visor. That stops the fogging on that and I imagine the screen is of a similar material.

    GPS wiring

I wired my Garmin GPS into the TomTom plug just behind the plastic cover between the forks and the tank. No need to buy the BMW adapter plug, just use spade conectors and the positive and ground plug right in. I have all the rest of the cables tucked up under the cover below the seat if I ever...

    Cal 1400 Suspension Thread

Can someone tell me the ride difference between coil and air suspension on the 1400? I thought air was better for cruisers and coil for sport type bikes. I'm sure it's not that simple though.

I had to refuel at a remote location and they only had 91 fuel. I usually fill with 95 as per the manual. My question is shall I refuel at half a tank with 98 or wait till the refuel light light comes on and fill up with 95 as per usual?

I was on an organised club ride and yes the long straight level road was closed at both ends. Not something I'm likely to do again and was just interested to see what it could do as the oputunity had been given.

    Dipstick, Revs and Frame Questions

How fast can you go on the Cali? I got mine upto 198km/h (123mp/h) yesterday and I don't think there was much left in it. I couldn't see what revs I was doing at the time (too busy trying to hang on).

Ezyoff oven cleaner. Spray on the headers when warm to very warm, allow to cool then wipe off with a wet sponge. Worked for me with a melted jacket.

    Oh No - Not Tires

If you get twice the miles on Avons over the Dunlops is that because the Avons are a harder tyre thus have less grip than the Dunlops?
