    MGS-01 REGISTRY - HAVE ONE?

I spoke to a guy from Blenheim a few months back, a real Guzzi freak. He assists a guy up north who apparently has 2. And he knows of one other. So thats 3 in NZ if true.

    CalVin Oil leak and ??

I have this exact same leak with my 03 EV. First up yes oil CAN get to the clutch if it's the rear main. It leaks on to the flywheel, gets flung all over the inside of the bell housing and drips on to the clutch. This however was not my issue. I pulled it all apart and did the gear box seals...

    2007 Norge Starter issue

Fyi mine would drop voltage like that too. Made it a pain to use guzzidiag as it would drop out due to the voltage drop.

    Cali Stone - slight stumble

I bought a Carbtune one. Was actually a lot cheaper than I thought. I did make a home made one, but it was pretty crude and I liked the non fluid idea behind carbtune

    Cali Stone - slight stumble

Hey I've had the exact same issue with my 03 Cali. Feels like it's running lean? I've finally sorted it. I went through and balanced the throttles, I didn't do the TPS as I could not for the life of me get a reading back probing them. But I wasn't worried as when I plugged into the ECU the TPS...

    2007 Norge Starter issue

I've recently had similar on my 2003 California. I would hit he starter and it would engage and go "rrr" stop. off the button, back on and away it would go. Usually. Did the relay mod, no change. Turned out to be the starter. Magnets had come loose, broken up, the grease plate between the...

Cali Stone - a couple of oil questions

I'm not going to claim to know all there is... But that goes against every scrap of information and advice I have ever seen, read and heard from Moto Guzzi and many owners.

Cali Stone - a couple of oil questions

Whoa there.... an 04? The hydraulic lifter engine? You NEED 5w-40. NOT 10w or 20w or you run the risk of lack of oil on cold start ups.

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Ok, well the hose is definitely ok. No signs of swelling, hardening or perishing and is a clear polyurethane hose. I'm confident it's fine. Guess I'll find out if it's not! As far as access goes, it wasn't too bad... Not a fun job but certainly not the worst I've done. The main issue I have is...

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Quick update, it's running again. I didn't replace the hose, it's been already been replaced with fancy PU stuff before and was fine. It was the clip that lost tension and let go. Or possibly it wasn't tensioned properly when replaced. So I replaced all clips with proper Mikalor stainless fuel...

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Yep will be the proper stuff. I'll probably use Mikalor clamps. It has Oetiker type clamps on there now and that's what popped off, plus another was loose enough I just pulled it off by hand.

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Well F*** me. That is a mongrel to get out of the tank!! Especially when that hose HAS popped off and gets in the way. So, even if your pump sounds normal, it can still have that line popped off! Problem solved. Or will be when I get a new piece of hose and clamps. Btw the filter is a metal...

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Seeing as the tank is off. I'll have a look at the insides then. I made an error there, it wasn't an injector. It was the TPS and it was for setting it up.

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

The pump primes as normal, runs for a couple of seconds and stops. It doesn't run continuously like it would if the fuel line had come off. I'm becoming more convinced it's something thats stopped the injectors firing

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

Seems to be plenty of fuel in the line out of the tank, quite a bit dribbled out of the pump. External fuel line was kinked and a little frayed as well. But the interesting thing I just found, a tiny sewing needle feed into one of the injector wires.... I wonder if it was left over from a...

2003 Cali Stopped, won't go again

There is spark I mention the oil light as that happened at the same time. Possible fluke coincidence though. Internal fuel pump. I'm in the middle of pulling the tank to check the internal hose
