    Matte Paint care

My 2015 V7 11 Stone has a matt yellow tank and it started to polish up where my knees rub and marks where my tank bag have been would not clean off so I gave the whole tank a good rub with T Cut and then a polish with Auto glim and now it is a satin/silk sort of finish and is now easy to clean...

V7 II Front Axl Spacer Gap

It just makes sure the fork legs don't get pulled in when tightening the axel bolt while allowing enough clearance to get the wheel and spacers back in position.

V7 III Racer - How do I take off the fork upper plate?

Loosen the bolts that clamp the top and bottom yokes to the fork legs then pull the fork legs down and out of the top yoke until you have enough clearance to remove the clip-ons. Steve

    Final drive leak thread

Try removing level plug and see if water has "over filled it". If so drain contaminated oil out refill to bottom of level plug thread clean it all up and have a carful ride and check for leaks. I've had water in mine after 500miles in heavy rain, had to change oil twice before I was happy with...

    Isle Of Man

I'm going to the IOM tonight for a week camping to watch the Southern 100 road race, the ferries are much cheaper than TT time and the camp site is only £8 per night and is at the road side which is closed for racing.

    Oil Leak - v7 II Stone (2016)

Hi and welcome this is not uncommon , it looks to me from the pics that the leak is from where the cables for the alternator go through the front cover. You may have to remove the front cover(which contains oil)and maybe replace the rubber grommet which is around the cables or just try sealant...

    Water in final drive oil.

Yep I had water in the swing arm and contamination of the final drive oil after my very very wet attempt at the Scottish north coast 500. I changed the oil twice and cleaned and regreased the drive shaft and forgave it as the conditions on that trip were bad but otherwise the V7 stone ran...

First Brit review on new V7 III

My V711 has a lovely smooth 1st gear engagement and gear change but if the clutch is so much lighter on the V111 I would like to know how they have achieved this. Cutting an inch off your new bikes foot pegs sounds a bit drastic, perhaps you could find some cheep replacements to modify and...

What would happen first under hard breaking?

Just find a safe place and try it at about 15mph, it's best that you experience it in a safe place when you are expecting it than in an emergency. Steve.

First Brit review on new V7 III

Thanks for the reply Mr Pootle but they are all lined up as you suggest, my arm is getting worse and I find myself with my thumb in front of the bar same side as my fingers, this allows my wrist to twist out a little and less painful. When riding another bike I have with a lighter clutch and...

First Brit review on new V7 III

Yes just read it, the lighter than light clutch really got my taste buds going. I know the V7 11 clutch which I have is not heavy compared to some older Guzzis but I am having problems with my left arm and a lighter clutch would help. A lot of new bikes now have a slip assist clutch if the V7...
