Ah...yes. I should have realized that. So it sounds like those large cones do the trick. I'll have to consider that set up when I have to do my first tire change. Thanks!
Can anyone recommend a good reliable resistor to use if I decide to go the LED route? I kind of like the idea of these guys...

No worries "abbienormal". For what it's worth, I snugged up that oil line bolt and crush washer and after a 10 mile ride, I didn't see any leaking so I hope it just needed a little break-in torque down. We shall see once I'm in hot stop n' go traffic.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna try and clean up in there and take a spin to see if I can isolate exactly where it's coming from. I appreciate the feedback.
I noticed a little oil leaking from my left cylinder head (when sitting on the bike) yesterday and could use some advice/help. Here is the back story....
2013 8vSE with just a bit over 3,000 miles (4828km) It had 400 miles on it when I bought it from Jim up here at Rose Farm Classics in...
Wow Guzzi Jon! that's some bad ju-ju on those leads and sorry to see it. I had a something similar but not as bad happen. My leads did not break off like yours however when I was installing a new battery (lithium), due to it's smaller stature I had to ever-so-slightly straighten out the...
Congrats on the new purchase! I just picked up a 2013 Black Devil and had similar questions and concerns as I was new to Moto Guzzi and from what I have been able to tell from this forum and the Griso Ghetto forum, most issues seem to have been resolved around the 2013 model year but some folks...
Um....can someone explain to me what exactly "short" shifting means? I'm not so hip to the lingo. :-( I read somewhere here or the Griso Getto forum that pulling in the clutch lever for a second or two reduces that "clunk" into first which was also a concern of mine being new to the Griso and...
I just ordered a couple of these cheap-o's off fleabay...not sure if they'll work but for 2 bones and free shipping I thought I'd give them a try. I don't plan on leaving them on the existing valve though...just attach to fill up with air and stick it back in my tool bag...
I had a similar issue..I've only had my Griso for about a two weeks and the first week I got it I rode almost every day but then last week it was cold and rainy for about 5 days so I didn't ride. When I went to start it, it almost turned over but no luck. Stuck it on a trickle charger, took...
Ginkgo- I like that set up! Curious though...are the contact points with that rack actually resting on the rear fairing? Just curious if, over time, it will mar the paint and finish?
Me too Asylum...I just asked the same question in your prior thread. Might sound silly but I'm wondering if simply running a strip of black electrical tape around the cluster seam suffice or does the cluster need to be taken apart entirely?
Good feedback as I too just picked up my BDevil last week and was curious about washing and rumors about a general dislike for water. When you say "dabbing some silicone" forgive my ignorance but what exactly do you mean by "silicone"? something like a Vaseline or is there something else I...
Thanks for the info Mark111. Was upset Becker didn't ship to US but I'll check out your information to see if I can track one down. Has anyone been able to source one of these in the US?
Hi Bill-
I did indeed see your red one there! :-) I just spoke with Jim again today and will be going there Saturday to finalize the paperwork. I'm super excited and really appreciate everyone's contributions to forums like these...it's really helped me feel more confident and secure in my...
Thank you for that feedback...I've been on research overload trying to familiarize myself with MG's and the lingo (I'm not very knowledgeable in the engine/motor department) but what you provided will help me for sure with my decision. I'm going to call tomorrow and get the vin # to be sure.
