    V7/V85TT/9 E4 & E5 Diag Tool Info

Will this tool pair the OEM TPMS wheel sensors to the bike's computer?

    Mysterious modification

My Triumph Tiger 1050 had the same loop wire connector. It was for the factory alarm which would disable the engine if the alarm was triped. On my Norge, it made the anti hijack feature of the Scorpio alarm I installed as simple as cutting the loop and then adding a connector. It seams to be a...

    Norge vs FJR

Before I bought my 07 Norge, new in 08, I looked at the FJR, ST1300, New Concours and the BMW R1200RT. All nice bikes. The BMW was too expensive, the Concours looked like a maintenance nightmare and cooked you as you drove, ST1300 was looking a little long in the tooth and it was next to...

    Norge rear brake loss

I pulled the Norge out of the garage a few days ago. The rear brake was as stiff as it was when I first moved the reservoir 6 months ago. This may be the cure to the problem.

    Norge rear brake loss

About a month ago I moved the rear brake master cylinder reservoir to the location where the charcoal canister once lived. So far :D the rear brake is as solid as when I last bled them a month ago. Only time will tell if this mod cures the problem. If nothing else it makes bleeding the rear...

Surprising amount of oil in Norge airbox

When you fill the engine with oil make sure you don't fill the crankcase above the mid point on the dipstick. Any higher than mid point on my Norge and the airbox gets a lot of oil in it. If the oil level is kept at the mid point or below on the dipstick I get very little if any oil in the...

Did you know MG makes a rear fender extender?

    Here's a couple of pics.

Did you know MG makes a rear fender extender?

Why yes they do. MG part # GU973270000004. This slick little piece of plastic fits around the rear fender of the Norge, Breva 1100 and probably the 1200 sport. It not only makes the fender longer but also makes it wider. For those who have a MG top box on their Norge and have driven any amount...

    Pazzo levers

Some have gotten lucky and were able to unscrewed the tiny allen screw. I had to drill mine out if I remember right because that tiny screw wasn't turning no matter what I did. But for the last 35,000 miles they've been on my Norge and work great. They still look like new.

    Norge power outlet

I put a BMW style power plug into the left side black plastic piece that sits just forward of the left hard bag. I use it for my BMW heated vest and plug my battery tender into the plug when the bike sits in the garage between rides. The nice thing about placing the plug there, if you intend to...

    Electronic Cruise

Steve you are the man. That is one nice write up. I've wanted to install a cruise control on my Norge for some time and with your info I might just try. Thanks, CJ

    Metallic sound on clutch pull

If it sounds like a loud rattle when you pull in the clutch lever, it is normal for these clutches. My Norge has done it since new and so have the other 4 Guzzis I've owned. I understand your concern since I felt the same way when I bought my first Guzzi, a 2000 Jackal 10 years ago.

    Hand guards for Norge?

I have the Stelvio handguards on my Norge with Helibars. If you loosen brackets that attach the brake and clutch reservoirs to the handlebars and rotate them just slightly upward, the handguards will fit and not hit anything turning lock to lock. You wont be able to use the throttlemeister...

    Norge steering head bearings

    Norge steering head bearings

Thanks for the info Pete. I'll order a set of tapered ones then change them out. I've pulled both forks from my Norge a couple of times, without having to remove anything but the front wheel and front mudguard. I'm thinking the plastic can stay on to change out the bearing. I'll let everyone...

    Norge steering head bearings

Does anyone know for sure if the Norge comes with tapered roller bearings in the steering head or are they just caged ball bearings?

    Norge center stand

And you may be asking the question for awhile because: 1. No one on this board, as far as I know has the new 2010/11 Norge. Nor have I read anyone claiming to have ridden the new bike in the US or anywhere else. 2. If someone did have a new one it would be a pain to try and switch center...

    Hand guard Rattle

I have the Stelvio hand guards on my Norge. I put them on in OH while doing my around the US trip earlier this month. First day riding with them I clearly heard the right hand one rattling like crazy. At my first stop during the test ride, within 15 seconds I found a cigarette butt on the...

does oil pressure depend from it's amount?

My last two Hiflo HF 551 filters haven't leaked a drop and I only need to tighten them 15nm. All my other Guzzi OEM filters leaked unless I tightened them a lot. The nice thing about the Hiflo is it is specifically a Guzzi replacement and not an automotive filter that just happens to fit the...

Engine Crash Bars and the OEM Sump Guard: WTF?

And when the Norge first came out there was no way to check the oil level without removing all the bottom plastic to get to the screw in dip stick, unless you made your own contraption out of PVC pipe to fit in between the fairing and the engine. A truly stupid design. It is as if there are two...
