There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Try the search function, it’s been discussed here at length. I’m not the expert but recall the jist being performance would suffer as the bike prefers pulling from still air.
I've ridden in the Portsmouth NH ride the last 4 years. It's a great event, I look forward to it every year. For anyone in NH there is also a really well done show the night before: http://www.welcomeeastmoto.com/
My '14 V7 Racer won for Best Italian Bike last year.
I moved up to risers and flat 'drag bars' on my Racer because the clip ons were too much on my wrists. I am really happy with the compromise. Still forward and sporty but much more comfortable. Todd sells a pair on the site that would be a straight forward swap for the Stone...
My 14 V7R has the issue, 15.25v at idle and 3k. Purchased the reg/rec from this thread on eBay. It came as a pretty complete kit including a substantial inline 30a fuse holder. Anyone install that or we should be good without it based on the bikes stock elec sys? From the thread it seems like...
I wound up putting on risers and used 'drag' bars which are flat with a small amount of sweep. I find this still a sportier position than the standard bars on a stone but much friendlier to my back than the stock clip ons.
I've been using Quad Lock for years now across my motorcycles, bikes, and cars. The case is excellent and the system is really easy to use. The 'bicycle' mount (which is what I use on the motorcycles) is rock solid. Before switching over to a drag bar and risers on my Racer I had made an adapter...
They are leather wrapped grips I custom made. The base on the clutch side is a Portland Design Works Bourbon Grip and on the throttle side I used a G2 Ergonomics throttle tube along with some of the PDW grip parts. Some rubber bicycle track grips over that then hand stitched leather.
With the Rhino bar ends they work out great. Originally had them (the bar ends) screwed directly into the V7R threaded inserts. I switched out to some risers and drag bars so they now use the clamped in inserts. The mounting has remained solid. I bump the mirror itself fairly regularly so it...
I used the Rizoma reverse retro mirrors on my V7. The bar end sliders Todd sells on this site come in a version made for Rizoma. There is a 22m and 28mm version; I don't recall which I needed. You just screw them straight in to the threaded insert instead of using the wedge nut that comes with...
I agree with Todd on this one (and I think he can probably get the parts for you). I went the other route and purchased some non-oem risers. I fabricated bushings from some tubing I purchased from McMaster. In the end I think purchasing oem would have been the better route. I've also seen...
Another option, I had a guy in Rhode Island hand make a custom aluminum fairing for me. He charged me $250. He still has the mockup I gave him to make it around so he could make more. I can hook anyone up with him and had a couple tweaks to give him based on mine. Has a ring that returns back...
