    The allure of Guzzi

An alternative way of putting it could be that everything about the bike felt wrong to him. I’ve found that when I’ve ridden Harleys. Nothing is where it should be, and it doesn’t feel natural. Likewise with a BMWR9T Pure. When I first rode a V7 everything felt right.

    The allure of Guzzi

My dad bought a Zigolo when I was 14, and told me it would be mine when I was 16. He sold it a few months before my 16th birthday, and bought an NSU Quickly. Over the years I’ve had a Vespa, Nortons, Triumphs, Yamahas and a Velocette, all old, and often passed on by my dad. But I always said he...

    Another dealer goes

They’re not listed on the Guzzi website, and their own is untouched since last summer. I’ll look in when I’m next over that way and find out what’s what.

    V85 TT Info

The rumour on a UK Guzzi forum is that the launch date is some time in 2021. What’s the word Stateside?

Racer or Anniversario- that is the question..

Did you get used to the position of the pegs and adjust how you put your feet down before you put the bike to bed? If not, you probably will in the spring. Let’s have a photo now and a photo when you make your changes. It’s always good to see how others make subtle (or not-so-subtle) changes...

    V7II mirrors

i’ve long thought that the Original mirrors don’t look quite right. I’ve now changed them for a pair of LSL Clubman mirrors. I’ve yet to try them on the road, but I like the look.

Is it normal that I have to warm up my V7II 2016?

What the OP describes in his first post is not normal. He should get his dealer to look at the bike. Yes, V7lls are a bit rough for the first few minutes after startup, and aren't the smoothest in stop/start traffic, but it shouldn't be stalling. That said, Todd's map does, according to the...

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

I can understand trying to modify the exhaust to get more performance or better mileage, but simply to make it louder? Why would you want to?

    Good news & other stuff......

Congratulations on the second grandchild. I keep bees. I've begged space in a couple of friends' orchards, and have hives on top of the WWll air raid shelter in my garden. Having them up there means I can use the garden without them disturbing me, or me them. I understand that there were...

    V9 reliabilty

Was it your dealer's demonstrator? If so, it could well have had multiple riders, some of them less than gentle.

V7 II ENGINE FAILURES & CLUTCH ADJUST NOTICE!

I've had no problems with my clutch, save that I find it heavy. My rides are often curtailed because my wrist is aching badly. In fact, the clutch beats the seat in shortening my rides. She's going in for service in a couple of days. If the clutch can't be made easier, sadly I may have consider...

    Battery heating up

Hi, Steve. I spoke to Mark this morning to book the bike in, and told him about the problem. He commented that it was still under warranty, so presumably they're still authorised service agents. I'll find out and report back.

    Battery heating up

The bike, and the battery, are just on a year old. There's a sticky about the 13-15 V7 overcharging. I'd hoped that it might have been sorted in the ll. Ah well, the bike's due for its service, so I'll try and get it in this week, and let Moto Strada check it out under the warranty.

    Battery heating up

I got home after a 20 minute ride in stop-start traffic yesterday, and found the right side panel was very warm, something I've never noticed before in 2,500 miles. Presumably the battery was heating up. I don't usually do short runs, nor ride in heavy traffic. Was it the nature of the ride, or...

First Brit review on new V7 III

Hi, Oldlegs. As I've just posted on another thread, I changed the angle of the clutch so my wrist and hand are in line. It solved the problem for me.
  20. Mr Pootle

    What's in the box?

I was having a lot of aching in my left wrist. I realised that the angle of the clutch lever was cockling my wrist up. I moved it so my wrist and hand were in line. Problem solved.
