I charged again and it is holding 13.5 now so that is good. Hope to have the tank off this weekend to investigate further.

Safety Alert for 8V Motors. Possible Alternator Wiring Short

Yes I was looking at the fuse behind that right side panel. The 13.1 was after charging with an Opimate Lithium charger from 9.1V when I took it out of the bike. I'll plug it back in and see if it does anything more. I haven't put the battery back in the bike to start it after I was towed...

Safety Alert for 8V Motors. Possible Alternator Wiring Short

I also had a no charge situation resulting in a tow as the battery ran down and I didn't catch it with the voltage reading on dash. The battery is a newish Antigravity and has been recharged and is holding 13.1 volts on my workbench all week. The 30 Amp fuse is good and the alternator belt...

Carc / Final drive oil change capacity?

With the side stand on a 2x4 and piece of 3/4 " plywood it is almost too vertical for comfort. I dribbled in more oil until it reached the bottom of the threads. It did not spill out when I removed the fill plug and I assume it was original factory fill. I'm calling this good to go now and...

Carc / Final drive oil change capacity?

Hello folks. I'm in the process of changing all fluids on my 2012 Stelvio NTX. Tonight I removed fill plug and drain plug of the Carc / final drive and drained it. I read in online service manual that capacity is 380 CC. Using a very small funnel to fit and pouring in very slowly so as not...

High beam trigger source for auxiliary light controller

I finally got around to it and tapped into the white wire with a blue strip at the right headlight bulb. I checked first with the meter and it only had power when high beams were on. The new lights have power and switch to high along with the high beam now. It's raining here so test ride will...

Wiring in an aux fuze panel

I tapped into the cigarette lighter wiring that is on the right side of the tool bag storage area. Loosen the nuts and it slips off the side of the box. You can slide the cover off the fitting and see the wires to test with voltmeter to get the right one.

High beam trigger source for auxiliary light controller

Good evening everyone. I am setting up replacement auxiliary lights on my 2012 Stelvio NTX. They are Cyclops Adventure Optimus long range driving lights with Skene 275 Controller. The dimmer needs a power trigger from the high beam light. Where would be the best place to tap that high beam...

    2012 "Sub wiring harness" recall?

I had 2 recalls done on my new to me 2012 Stelvio at AF1 Racing in Austin. One was for rear shock mount and one was for the sub wiring harness. I understood that to be for rear wiring harness replacement. The invoice didn't say which was which but the recall numbers for both were...

    On the verge

I just purchased a 2012 Stelvio NTX on consignment from MPH Cycles in Houston Texas. I asked about the tappets and the mechanic looked it up and said they were roller type from the factory. (Mine had 854 miles - similar to yours. Here she sits yesterday in front of my parent's house somewhere...
