    V7 Special battery cover

I recently bought a 2013 V7 and I also just bought a battery tender. I want to take the battery off the bike and put it on the tender for the Winter. The manual that comes with the bike mentions one bolt and a hook. I looked at the bolt and it didn't look like a torx or hex. What is it? Also...

My question is if it is worth the extra $3000 or so to get the new bike with ABS or just get a nice 2013 or 2014 for much less money...

    V7 problems and t100 comparison

I have bee looking at getting a bike ( 5' 7" tall, 70 yo. ) and I was only looking at Triumph t100's until I saw a v7II Special at a dealer. I loved the looks and it seemed to fit me better than the triumph and seemd like a better bike for just tooling around on country lanes. But I don't know...
