Corbin seat owners, please reassure me!

My buddy complained to Corbin that his was too hard and they told him to bring it in and they would fix it. He did and he is happy now.

    California 1400 Fluid Changes

Thanks Guys. Yeah I think I’m fine. Funny the manual refers to a dip stick which my Calif 1400 has never had.

    California 1400 Fluid Changes

Hey Fellas, I just finished changing my gearbox oil and realize I may have overfilled it. I thought the procedure was to fill until it runs out the fill opening which is what I did. In my typical form I checked the instructions and this forum AFTERWARDS and find I was wrong. Should I drain it...

Sump bolt stripped. Damn, blast and bugga.

Sorry John, looks like a total pain in the ass to do. Of course the bright side is that you appear to have a proper place and the skills to do it. Good luck with it.

    Cracked rack

I thought I should clear something up. I discovered recently that my troubles with this rack breaking twice at the center tab had more to do with my dealer and my own incompetence than the quality of the rack. We installed it together when I bought it. They had it hanging on a wall with no...

    California 1400 seat option

No I was just curious. I’m happy enough with my Corbin. The only thing I don’t like about Corbin’s is that they are so heavy because of the thickness and the material used for their seat pans. My Corbin added about ten pounds over the stocker which negated a lot of the weight savings made with...

    California 1400 seat option

That does look like a nice seat. Do they use the original seat pan or make a new one?

Eldorado or California Touring - I’m confused!

I completely understand John. Nothing wrong with going either direction. I’m not at all critical of that and I love the looks of a naked Guzzi. It really all comes down to your riding habits and what you need to take with you to be comfortable. I like options so I take a lot of gear. Even if I...

    Cracked Cal 14 Exhaust Parts

Just a short little video blip for those that want to hear the GuzziTech full exhaust under load.

Eldorado or California Touring - I’m confused!

Just try to be forward thinking. Lots of people end up going with the naked bike because it is quite simply much better looking and lighter but then end up modifying it so that it looks like a Cali Touring. I would have preferred the Ca Custom as I Love it’s look and lines but I realized in time...

    Heated grips help

Well that’s unfortunate Corvo Nero because heated grips are really nice to have. I wish the O.P. Luck in finding a solution. If all else fails heated glove liners? Less bulky than most heated gloves.

    Alternator belt replacement

Never mind my earlier comment John. I had no idea we even had an alternator belt. I see it now in my maintenance schedule. A first for me.

    Alternator belt replacement

Alternator belt? Do you mean the timing belt?

    Heated grips help

There is no conflict with throttle by wire and Moto Guzzi heated grips. My 2014 California 1400 has both and the grips work fine.

    24K maintenance

Bummer about the new tire. I agree with you about tire repair but have to admit, I usually try to squeeze a couple thousand more miles out of tires after I plug them. Especially if they’re new. I seem to pickup wood or sheet metal screws every time I ride on the shoulder of the road.

    Cruise Control

Great idea Garwood. I used your idea but I was too lazy to get out to the hardware store so I put a penny on top of the button using double stick tape. Same idea, works wonderfully.

    Cracked Cal 14 Exhaust Parts

I went with Todd’s full system also. Not only did it make the bike run much better and solve the cracked pipe issue, it got rid of that annoying tinny sound made by the pipe heat shields. That sound was driving me nuts. I had them torqued with lock tight but I could still always hear a vibration.

    Cracked rack

Thanks John. No I have a corbin seat with passenger for the Cali 1400. Yours looks good. Much better than the original which hangs out so far. Who made the rack for that. Where does it mount?

    Cracked rack

Well my rack broke again at the center tap. Really don’t understand. I don’t think I ever put more than 10lbs in it. I don’t know if I’ll try to repair it again. I really don’t like having weight sit so high and far back plus I never thought it matched the lines of the bike. I have the smaller...

Anyone Own or Ride an XDiavel?

Not sure but it sounded like he had a blower under the hood.
