    Crashed my Stelvio

I lost my beloved '09 last July. Front forks only. Luckily nowhere near as badly as yours. Ouch! I'm impressed your pinch bolts survived. Went right out and got an '08 with fewer miles.

Exhaust Choices For The Stelvio - List Of Options - Which Is Best?

I have a Quill Evo and the dyno figures of my '09 match almost exactly a recent review of a '14 NTX: 89.35 bhp @ 6679 rpm, 72.27 ft/lb @ 6388.4 rpm. Quite an improvement on stock and nice flat curves. Since then I fitted a K&N air filter and, while I haven't dyno'd the beast again, it breathes...

    Downshifting 2013 Stelvio question

I had an '08 which started to complain about downshifting at about 2,500 miles. The thing was still in warranty so I booked it into the shop. The gearbox fixing pin (GU05234931) had partially worked loose, protruding into the shift cluster. No one has ever reported this anywhere that I can...

Stelvio REGISTRY & Pics thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

My '09 in Italy, last September, on the way back from the Misano MotoGp. She didn't miss a beat in 3000 miles.

    Luggage/hugger quandary.

My Quill Evo is ace, sounds so good I've never taken the baffle out, cost £200 and is in Warrington. Job Done (Although £200.00 - 5 years ago...) The torque is smoother and stronger 3-6000rpm. They have a Dyno-Pro. When I took mine in they hadn't had one before so they used mine to make the...

    Luggage/hugger quandary.

I agree, smaller muffler - saves weight (lots!) and sounds awesome. And the original makes a unique garden ornament. Also my Mate's Multistrada's right pannier has a humungous heat shield to save it from the exhaust gases which blast straight at it!

    2010 Stelvio Dyno tune

In '10 I had a Quill pipe put on, stock air filter, standard tune and it read 89.35bhp @ 6679rpm and 72.27ft/lb @ 6388 on a Dyna Pro Dynamometer at the back wheel. Since then I've fitted a K&N air filter which lets the thing breathe much better (plus helping the fuel consumption). Is this any...

    Potential Guzzisti--Please advise--

Go for the Stelvio. I bought mine new in early '09. I would have more than the 25k miles I've done on it had it not had the engine out twice (Main bearing, then, later, main oil seal both just out of warranty, tho' Guzzi gave me the bearing...) Considering the problems Beemers have, and the...

    '09 Spokes...

Thanks for the advice, people. I'm kind of financially embarrassed right now, but i'd consider cast wheels in the future. My Stelvio is a keeper for life. This is why...

    '09 Spokes...

Has anyone had to replace spokes? My poor girl has had to live all her life outdoors and I ride all year long, without recourse to a hose, as she is parked in a public car park 100 yards away from home (street-front terrace). The spokes are horrible - all flaky chrome and rust. I'm wondering...

    Bikey no Starty

Last year I took the bike for its MOT (annual government check for those of you not in the UK) which it passed, of course, but as I went to start up and ride back home - Bikey no Starty. The mechanic and I crawled all over the thing and found it had blown auxiliary (front box) fuse B (15A...

    Can you retro-fit...

I've just made my annual pilgrimage to the NEC motorcycle show in Birmingham and I was told how good the side wind-deflectors are on the current NTX. My only riding gripe in 5 years of owning my Stelvio, including my recent 3000 mile trip to Italy and back, is the rain getting inside my helmet...

    Snapped forks...

Hi all, I went to Italy and back, nearly 3000 miles on all kinds of roads including many cobbled streets, potholes, mountain roads etc. The fork welds are still fine. As suggested I check them every ride but so far no problems. My local dealer in Worcester has seen this problem several times...

    Quill end can/silencer

Many thanks for the reply Todd - If I weren't lately retired on a tiny pension I would invest in your fuelling goodies for christmas! And then go to Italy again, over the Alps again, and again, and again... Dreams, eh? But just a note - mine's an A5 '09 as I said at the top of my piece -...

    Quill end can/silencer

I got a Quill silencer for my '09 Stelvio in 2010 and they kindly dyno'd it for me but only after it was fitted. I always wondered what a stock '09 would do but could never find a dyne chart until a couple of days ago. My bike only had about 4000 miles on it so not really run in and I suspect...
