    Rev Counter Illumination

Hi All, My rev counter illumination seems quite poor and patchy and I was wondering if this is normal? The LCD display is fine as are all the warning lights, I'm not sure if I have some bulbs out but there is a definite light to dark fade all the way round the rev counter where it seems to go...

    2010 Stelvio Recall history.

Hi there. Yes I've read about that just need to either pluck up the courage to fix it myself or bite the bullet and get it fixed. I was wondering if there was a recall due to the problem you mention. Yes I agree it's nice to see they have fixed those issues. A little peace of mind. I wish all...

    2010 Stelvio Recall history.

Hi All, After being greeted with a little drip of oil that I thought was the Sump gasket leaking I'm now coming round to the fact that it may actually be the rear main seal. After asking around about local repairers on here as they are few and far between up here I was recommended Ribble...

Tire Time, Stick w/ Scorpion Trails or Get Something Else?

I have just fitted a set of Avon Trail riders on my Stelvio, around 1k miles ago. She had Conti Road Attack on when I bought it. Although I cannot comment on mileage yet the grip seems to be superior on the Avons, they look the part and have a very confidence inspiring feel. They totally...

Manchester UK Competent Dealer or Enthusiast Required.

Good Morning Everyone, I want to balance my throttle bodies and do a TPS reset but there is a distinct lack of dealers Manchester way or even specialists that I can find. I'm based in Mottram. The nearest one to me that I could find was Via Moto in Sheffield. After calling them to ask on a...

    crossthreaded gearbox drain plug

Mine was already screwed when I bought it and failed when I took it off to change the fluids. I managed to tap the hole one size bigger and bough a new drain plug to match. I actually bought this set off eBay and although is massive over kill, for the price I now have a set of taps and plugs for...

    Knocking from Rear End

Found the issue and fixed it thanks for the suggestions. Noticed that the bracket holding on my hugger on the rear that bolts to the CARC had sheared. Thus every hard bump the hugger was coming down and hitting the shaft with the broken bit of metal . Welded the bracket and all good! False alarm!

    Knocking from Rear End

No all I did was try and replicate the knock on the road and then placed it on the centre stand and checked the rear wheel. Im at work at the moment but can go down and take a look, do you mean the bushings on either end?

    Knocking from Rear End

    Knocking from Rear End

Good Morning All, I'm hoping I can get some advise on how to replicate a knocking I have just discovered from the rear end on my Stelvio. I had pulled up out side a shop this morning to get a Breakfast Bap (Lovely by the way) and when leaving I had to drop down a normal sized kerb onto the...

Rear brake non existent since pad change

Hi All, In the end after trying to bleed the system numerous times I pushed the caliper firmly towards the disk while pumping the rear brake, sliding it across. At first I could feel the pulsing of the pistons through my hand but it still was not firming up. Then all of a sudden it firmed up...

Rear brake non existent since pad change

Many thanks, so by this you mean pressurising the caliper nipple and pushing fluid out the master cylinder?

Rear brake non existent since pad change

So do you think I need to raise the rear or front?

Rear brake non existent since pad change

Hi guys. Thanks for your replies. Yes I did read those threads from the search but I don't have an ABS model and it doesn't really say what to do to sort the issue. I understand it can take air in when pushing the pistons back into the caliper but I don't understand why bleeding the way I...

Rear brake non existent since pad change

Hi All, I have just spent 30 mins changing the front and rear pads for something that I hope will give me a little more bite. The fronts went well and took less than 20min to do both sides. The rear however has taken a little longer but only due to the pin being a little bugger to remove...

Stelvio 2010 Gearbox Drain Plug Thread size?

Good Afternoon all, I changed the fluids today in the CARC and Gearbox and the gearbox drain plug has been packed out with 2 washers (Probably trying to grab the last bit of thread) and only goes up finger tight and no tighter. Can anyone tell me what size thread the current plug is as I will...
