The cute little Stelvio horn took a dump.
I am looking to replace it, with similar, maybe louder :-).
I would like to avoid installing a relay as required for a high amperage horn.
What is the maximum current draw allowed for the stock horn wired through the bar switch?
Cheers P
Just discovered leaky seal on my bike as well. Will be trying the SealMate.
Question; I have lost likely +/- 1/2 ounce of oil. is there a way to check and replenish?
Cheers
I have a 2010 Stelvio, that I have installed the new larger oil cooler on.
I am curious about a couple of things....
- Does the newer larger oil cooler motor take more oil?
- Is there a difference in the marking locations or length of the dipsticks between the these to motors once the larger oil...
I found the tall Givi Screen much better than the cal sci screen, since it has a lip a the top that deflects the wind up and over. In addition I added the X-creen (im 6'3") now I buzz along looking over the screen with a nice pocket of air, visor open. Note; I ride a 2010, new models may be...
I have noticed this for a while, when bike is hot, well warmed up. When coming to and idle or letting of the throttle I sometimes get a running hesitation with a kick, stutter, like a excess fuel is pre-igniting. If real hot it will happen every 10 to 20 sec. at idle. The bike runs like...
I have the Mistral installed on my 2010 Stelvio, unfortunately I am finding it a bit loud on the long hauls even with the restrictor in it.
I happen to have a pair of pipes off of an MG 2003 V11 (stock pipes), and am considering using one of them on the Stelvio. After install I can re-tune with...
I have a 2010, mine has done the same right out of the crate. The fueling has been completely revamped and on the dyno, so pretty damn sure it's not pinging. I have resigned myself to live with it, gotta just be "Character"
Re: replacement NTX aux lamps
I do not recommend going with the Cross Country's. Two reasons, they do not easily turn off and on, they have a warm up cycle and they fail. I had to replace twice, third time I they sent back, at my request, a pair of LED lights, though they are a little bit...
:D Not sure if this puts the discussion to bed... But
I correctly torqued the the 30mm nut, tightening pinch bolts at directed. Presto front wheel "slop" gone, so moral is if large nut is not torqued as specified, it will allow the sealed bearings/spacers to lossen up creating play. So all is...
:( The moral here is do it yourself!!!
I went to loosen the Wheel Pin Nut it was +/- finger tight!!! reading the manual it's supposed to be torqued to 80 nm arghh, I assume that this could be the culprit!!?
I am going to get a 30mm socket so I can torque it correctly. Hope this clears...
Tire was replaced about 2k ago. Is there a chance that the large nut has not been tightened enough, allowing for free play on the shaft? Have yet to take a part. :o
:o Washing bike I noticed that the front wheel bearing had a little play in them. :o
Anybody out there adjusted them? A quick DIY would be great.
Thanks in advance :D
Its a done deal :D :D
got the 2012 oil cooler and bracket,,,, it snapped right in. Only the horn had to be relocated to allow for the Oil line to reach. The old one was 8 cells, the new style is 12 cells, 50% larger :P :P .
Will make sure that I run the oil towards the full mark rather...
Had an interesting experience. On a ride, thought I blew a head gasket, turns out that the NGK spark plug snapped at the top of the threads blowing the porcelain isolator and plug out  .
Fear set in, how the hell do we get that out. Let the shop handle it.. spun right out.
Point of...
