    ECU unplugged

I had a similar problem the other day when bike would not start after sitting for 3 weeks. It had some error message however I cant recall exactly what it was. I disconnected the + terminal on the battery because I noticed some corrosion. Main problem is the top of the + battery terminal is not...

    Leaking Spoke

I agree with the comments on the variance in different guages. I have my own digital guage that I carry with me. Our gas stations here in Singapore have digital gagues that you set for the required pressure and connect the hose. System "beeps" when pressure is reached. My local gas station just...

    Leaking Spoke

I noticed the front wheel was loosing pressure as I check them every 2 weeks or so. Just by spraying soapy water on the spoke where it enters the rim revealed bubbles @ one of the spokes. The dealer removed the tire and replaced the spoke O ring on Friday last week. I checked the pressure on...

    Leaking Spoke

I found one of my front wheel spokes is leaking aprox 3 psi per day. I tried just nipping the spoke up but its still leaking. I will drop it into the dealers and hope they have a set of O rings for it. Otherwise, does anybody know if you can fit a tube to these rims without any side affect...

    Stelvio Fork Seal Failure

Yea, one has to wonder. Even if the bump on the sealed road caused the seal retainer to dislodge and damage the seal, should that happen on an adventure bike ?? It wasnt as if I was on some hard ass outback trail. It was a sealed road with a pothole in it..

    Stelvio Fork Seal Failure

GT-Rx,...I think your right mate. I hit a hole in the middle of the road that was so hard it jared both my wrists but that was when I was up in Thailand for New Year. I have done aprox 2000klm since then so im still unsure that was the root cause,... but its very likley it was. Actually I hope...

    Stelvio Fork Seal Failure

Sorry, just re-read my post which was a bit misleading. The seal did not pop out, the circular spring that is inside the lip seal was hanging out. There was quite a bit of oil loss and a big mess. It must have happened real quick as its only 11klm from work to home, I just adjusted the valves...

    Stelvio Fork Seal Failure

Riding home from work tonight and I could smell burning oil. On inspection I found the left fork seal had popped out and was spuewing oil over the header and down onto the brake. It was a major leak so off to the shop. Not sure what caused that and they will pull it apart tomorrow. Bike is 20...

What do you keep in your "Glovebox"?

Since I have loaded the latest ECM fuel map the engine runs that much cooler I can even notice the diffrence in the Glovebox temp. Previously I would not put my mobile phone in there in fear of it being "nuked". Once I put a few dollars in there for fuel stops and they came out crispy. Now even...

So what DON'T you like about your Stelvio?

I take it your not serious,..just incase thou.... I use Trip 1 to know when to fuel up either on a trip or just around town, I never trust fuel guages and only use the low fuel light as a reminder. Trip 2 is used for total trip on a long ride. November I did a 6000klm trip through North...

So what DON'T you like about your Stelvio?

The stupid trip meter that only go's to 999 Klm then resets everything in that mode (Trip 1 or Trip 2). I like to set trip 2 when I leave on a long ride to indicate total distance traveled etc and use trip 1 to reset every fuel stop.

    Stelvio go's to Thailand

Hi Mike, I dont see them opening the Myanmar border for a long time. The military Junta is very paranoid and have a lot more on there mind other than letting us in. We are not real worried about it as we have Cambodia and Laos on the other side which offer excellent riding conditions similar to...
