MY 1400 Knocked of it's stand while parked.

Nothing to do with the fall after all .Removed bottom plug lead on left cylinder after much effort and appeared to be some green oxidation happening . That cap was jammed on the plug really tight . They must need both plugs firing but would have thought one would have still been ok?

MY 1400 Knocked of it's stand while parked.

No Peter no warning lights and left handle bar only had slight scratch on the clutch lever end but the whole assembly was twisted up on the handlebar which I just adjusted back down straight away. Amazingly little damage considering . A mark on the left running board the head cover and left...

MY 1400 Knocked of it's stand while parked.

Somebody knocked over my bike on a in the car park of the cafe I had stopped at for a pee . Was on it's side for literally a matter of a few minutes. Cosmetic damage was amazingly minimal but on the way home the bike refused to rev past 4000 rpm at which point the left cylinder would drop out or...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

I may have to see if I can get another test ride as something does not seem right.I am sure I had this bike in veloce mode and I rode a Ducati gt1000 with a 2 into 1 and appropriate Ecu upgrade that has arm stretching bottom end and mid range thrust over to the dealer to test ride Cali so maybe...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

Still have cash lying around waiting to be spent but no Eldo? I was all set to go as there are 3 heavily discounted 2016 bikes for sale here in Melbourne but decided to take a cali for a test ride first and came away very confused.I like the look of the Eldorado more than any bike I have seen or...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

Finally got time to go to the dealers too see it in the flesh. No demo and no test ride but I spent some time looking carefully and sat on it. A stunning bike but have to admit I was shocked exactly how big it is and how heavy it felt in the showroom.I think I would get used to that pretty...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

[ PS. A lot of road tests say they are thirsty but they get better as they loosen up, mine averages around 5.5 ltr/100kms, fuel light comes on around 240/250kms but there is still about 5 ltrs left in the tank so 300+kms fuel range is not a problem. Thanks for all this useful information John...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

Thanks .I Already know I will be up for some more money straight away as lean fueling on modern bikes is a pet hate. My GT1000 was horrible under 4000rpm before a race ecu and exhaust was fitted so I guess I can factor a decent wad of cash to get that sorted on the Eldorado.A cracked crossover...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

Thanks for this advice guys I bought a Ducati gt1000 a while back that had a few known issues that caught me out on rides and left me stranded .Had I bothered to research the bike I would have known about these and done the simple upgrades needed and avoided a lot of hassle but it sounds like...

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

LOL at 59 maybe the miss spell is appropriate ! I have been in lust since it's introduction but 2 of my bikes have to go to fund it although I have the cash now .I have 7 bikes so no way will I be able to sneek it in and not sell anything as I usually do.The boss is counting and watching this time.

New 1400s any known issues before I buy an elderado?

I always seem to buy a new bike in the heat of desire without researching it first so this time around I want to do it the right way around. Before I lay down my hard earned cash what do I need to know up front?

New to loops and trying to set mine up to eliminate detonation(pinging)

Thanks Gilardona cylinders so nikasil. I read the initial advance to 2500 rpm is quite aggressive so will give this a go if I don't go electronic. There seems to be a couple of choices there but would be mad not to try your suggestion first before parting with $500 Aud . Can I buy the spring...

New to loops and trying to set mine up to eliminate detonation(pinging)

Hi I am new to Moto guzzi's the loop is my first one and with a shed full of Ducati's I have to say I am pretty smitten by this old bike.I ride it everywhere and has it quickly become my go to ride. The only fault I can find is the detonation that seems to be an accepted fault with these bikes...
