Thanks stradagrene but there's enough landfill as is without me adding to it by chucking a perfectly good front tyre on the heap. When ready I'll look into the options and hope for Conti user updates. Or even the new and improved version!
Cheers, MotoBug
Thanks Dan. On the Conti site I selected the rear tyre tab. Maybe an internet gremlin (or brain fart) at the time but I can now see correct size for the V7. Unfortunately online retailers in Australia don't seem to offer it unless maybe it can be ordered. I guess the 0 degrees symbol means...
That's a thought I suppose JPV7. Having said that I can't see any info that says it's a radial tyre. I'd appreciate a link if someone has it handy.
I wasn't asking what size tyres the V7 uses. I know what the tyre size is as it's in the V7ii owners manual as well as listed earlie in this...
Thanks Stradagene. I've got the size from the owners manual but I looked on the Conti website and didn't see the correct size for the V7ii. I'll look again.
It's possible that size isn't available here.
About to replace the rear tyre with probably another sport demon on my spoke rimmed V7ii Special.
Any updates on user experience for the rear version of the Conti Road attack 3?
Is it actually a radial tyre rather than cross ply? I thought I saw two versions of it on the Conti website one...
Yeah it's there but I can see the cable move down at the other end almost immediately. The mechanic who did the first service commented on it and adjusted as best he could. Brad Bike Boy comes highly recommended for Guzzi's and I'm confident he knew what he was doing.
One inch or so? My V7ii special starts engaging at about a half inch maybe less from the bar. Never seemed right to me that it should come on so soon. What sort of distance from bar are others having their clutch engage? I tested by putting in first and slowly released until engine revs begin to...
Very tempting this FT. My bike is running well although I'd love to get rid of that jerkiness in first gear. Most annoying in car parks and slow cornering like roundabouts or tight bends. But then there's the warranty issue. I was told fiddling with the fueling will definitely void the warranty...
No
Not a problem. Thanks for letting me know. I think I can work out a way that uses the grab rail. If not I'll spring for some moto specific panniers.
Yep Like many things in life you never stop learning. Over confidence is a killer too. I've been thinking of doing another rider training course. Last one I did was about 25 years ago run by Honda iirc.
I think I know how to brake well when needed having owned bikes over the years without abs. I was just curious as to how far you can push it and does the abs cause that shuddering like it does in a car. I'm guessing it does as long as the tyre can grip.
The V7ii is the first bike I've owned with ABS. I'm familiar with ABS in my car but how does it work on a bike? Can I just grab a hand/footful of brake and trust the wonders of modern tech, tyres and road surfacing to bring me up to a halt?
Hi MotoAngler. The racks look great. I'm curious how you connected them under the seat. If you get a chance I'd appreciate a pic or two showing that. I'm trying to work out a suitable rack for my Ortlieb or Vaude bicycle panniers. It may not work but I have to try. The Ortliebs and Vaude are...
