After reading through all of the past posts on Norge decel popping my conclusion is that there is no simple fix and it's probably best to just live with it. Is this correct or did I miss something?
Good luck! There are a lot of people out there who hate loud pipes (including many motorcyclists) so legislation like this is more likely to increase rather than get defeated.
I'm sure not for more laws - we have way too many already. If the noise problem is so bad, why not just enforce...
Sold my R1150RT to get a Norge. I believe that the Norge weighs slightly more but it does feel lighter. One thing that I like better is that I can stay in 6th gear at lower speed on the Norge. Seems that I was shifting the Beemer much more frequently between 5th and 6th, which I'm sure is just a...
When Corbin told me last year that they didn't make a seat for the Norge, I opted for a Rick Mayer. I've had four Corbins and loved them all but the Mayer may be a tad better.
Total agreement here. With a $14-15,000 motorcycle I try to stay with OEM as much as possible. I really don't care if a Pep Boys oil filter or Home Boys Network air filter works - how much are you going to save over the life of the bike?
A state trooper friend of mine told me that they tend to stop red cars mostly because they stand out and catch their attention.
So why do I have a red car and a red Norge??
Just finished modifing the previously posted top box fix. I wanted to be able to remove the box easily and quickly. This took about 15 minutes, $9.00 worth of stainless hardware and a standard plated support bracket.
I figure that even if the thing loosens it will still be tough for the box...
Got it! Thanks for the help - pushing down and pushing the key in hard seemed to do the trick. I had read the articles on these things coming off on bumps and I'm working on a fix.
When I bought my used Norge I took the top box off and stored it. Today I remounted it (the update was already done) but I can't remove the box now by turning the key to the left and pushing in. I would think that the box would just pop off - does it need a bang from the hand underneath to free...
Graham,
Finally got the line off - it was easy. I just used a small screwdriver and popped off each of the four white tabs one at a time. The collar doesn't have any tabs on it - they were broken off. If I can't get a new collar from MPH I think I will just secure the line with a cable tie...
I have a question. Is the gray collar supposed to be completely free? This tank had been off before I got the bike and I wonder if the collar got messed up. The collar just spins free between the fuel line and the red fitting. It seems like it should be attached to the fuel line somehow.
In...
OK I looked at all of the threads I could find and I'm still not quite clear on this fuel line connector. I cranked the starter several times with the pump disconnected as suggested and I did spray with WD 40. All of the past compression type fittings I have used are just a push/hold/pull...
