    V7 Racer ii throttle question

Recently installed bar end mirrors after moving my grips inboard. I drilled new locator holes several millimeters up the bar and reinstalled everything. (and reused the OEM weights). Should moving the throttle assembly a bit have changed my throttle response? When idling, it seems to...

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

OP here Check out these videos from a dude who drilled out his exhausts. I've been in contact with him and he says it takes ten minutes per, and a few 2" hole saws to gut the mufflers. Says it's not as loud as a straight pipe, but definitely much louder than stock. This is basically...

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

Thanks JPV. I saw George last week for my 1000km service. He's quite a character. Great guy. I could have spent all day talking to him! I actually bought my V7 ii Racer in Montreal. (A LOT cheaper...$8299 / $6600USD) I think I'll end up buying off Todd, here. So, there is no...

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

Yes. My thought, exactly. Louder 'sounds' like more power....but isn't (much). The throaty rumble of a twin is a beautiful sound that I can't get enough of. *All the best to anyone riding in DGR this Sunday.

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

Ummm.....same reason MOST people do so. I've had several bikes and any exhaust mod I've ever done has made a nearly indiscernible performance gain. Maybe 10% increase in hp? Maybe. I wouldn't notice it unless racing. I'm older, and no longer race. I think that a lot of times the...

V7 II ENGINE FAILURES & CLUTCH ADJUST NOTICE!

Well, I'm taking my cherished V7 ii Racer in for its first diaper change at 1000km this week. So far the bike and clutch have not exhibited any teething issues. Clutch feels like new, chicken strips are gone, and I love the bike even more! No worries!☺️

    Modifying stock V7 ii exhaust?

I have a 2016 V7 ii Racer. I presently do not wish to fork out a Grand (Cdn$) for a new exhaust. Perhaps I will in the future. Is there ANY reasonable way to alter/mod the stock, factory exhaust for higher volume? Not looking for a hp gain....just decibels. Cheers

V7 II ENGINE FAILURES & CLUTCH ADJUST NOTICE!

Thanks Jeff, I will keep that in mind. My line of thought is that the dealer would be equally culpable if they KNEW that my new bike was missing the critical part and left me stranded far from home. I am plating the bike today and intend to ride the fk out of it before the snow flies...

V7 II ENGINE FAILURES & CLUTCH ADJUST NOTICE!

I have not. It was my understanding that the bike either HAS the issue of a missing thrust bearing/washer, or DOESNT...regardless of mileage. I am wondering if Guzzi or a third party have compiled a list of affected VIN numbers. Why do you ask about mileage?

V7 II ENGINE FAILURES & CLUTCH ADJUST NOTICE!

After picking up my 2016 V7 ii Racer 6spd yesterday in Montreal (travelled six hours to get it), I took the fifteen minutes to read this thread. Now I'm wondering if mine is afflicted. Mine is VIN # ZGULWUB25GM200258 Any insight either way would alleviate my anxieties on this issue...
