Respectfully, this wasn't "assuming the worst". This was taking the data provided to me to make a decision. Upon the execution of that decision, more information became available to determine there was misinformation, and the new information provided details a flaw in their quoting process. I...

Thanks everyone for all the input, especially Todd! I do want to say that I drove up on Saturday to pick up my bike, and it turns out there is a huge disconnect between the mechanics and the front desk person I was working with. The quote was for work to be performed, not accounting for the...

I did read the description and steps. I see the importance, no question. I sent an email to that address regarding the manual. I will continue to skim through the forums for hints, tips, etc as well. I like it so far, and am leaning towards picking it up, I'm just determining what step should...

I've read the description and the reviews. Very impressive! I think the other kind of information I'm looking for is the how-to's and whatnot for what you can remove / cap on the bike (evap cannister and tipover valve?), tips and tricks, etc. D

Cool tool, but I'm not sure I follow what this has to do with replacing the sensors? Let me figure out what I'm going to do, but I may want to purchase the sensors from you. When would they ship? I'm lurching around the forums trying to find more info on your kit. It sounds like this may...

Yeah, they said one of them is shot, but they recommend replacing both, but if it would be that difficult for both to fail, then I should really only replace one for now. I haven't pulled the tank before, so I'll look into the how-to's on that. Thanks! Yeegh! I'll take a look at that as well...

So, the shop came back and said it was the lambda sensor. They recommend replacing both. Parts and labor look to be around $700. I think the "zzzzzz' noise was because the engine was in gear and powering down. My understanding of lambda sensors and the fuel injection control *could* see this as...

I think it was more the engine spinning down from such a high speed after it shut off. It didn't feel like hard braking, more no engine power, doing speed down the highway in gear. Interesting thought about it being the belt.

It got me pretty good when I got too close. Lol! Yeah, I've got an appointment to take it in and have the guys who did the tappit mod to take a look at. If it's not from their work, then we should be able to find out what's wrong. At that point, I may fix it and sell it. It almost threw me...

2012 NTX sudden loss of performance, burning plastic smell

I remember doing the NGK mod a few years back, I tested arc and they appear to work just fine. That said, it def looks like a cylinder timing or mis-firing issue. When I leave the left spark detached and fire up the engine, it's that same deep throttle I described earlier. When I plug it back...
