  • There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
  • Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? • Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Oh No - Not Tires

Not to further muddy the waters, but BMW on some, but not all years of the K1200LT, Victory on the Cross Roads Classic (only difference was spoked lace wheels rather cast on all others) and several Harley models use(d) a mix of "radial" and "non radial" tires. Load ratings, etc., come into play...

    Import From Canada

Moto International is a hometown Guzzi shop for you in WA that is involved with helping deliver to Canada on a regular basis. I would also check with Customs for legalize and state Motor Vehicle Department for what they say is required. That way you "get it from the horses mouth" from those that...

Were you able to confirm the circuit is good to the light?

    Audace exhaust options

I live near to and spend a lot of time riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Often we'll stop to take a photo, etc., and at times the loud pipe "parade riders" go by and it can take several minutes to have a very short chat. I've mentioned to loud pipe "parade rider" friends how annoying that is to...

    Audace exhaust options

Correct, the "old" standard was 92, but the States are generally 80-82 with a few mid 80's with different testing standards. Our inspection stations don't test db limits, but a few area "resort" towns do test/strictly enforce trucks, cars and motorcycles. Like many things, depending where you...

    Rear Break Locked up

Take it to the Dealer as soon as possible. I would take some photographs of the components to document their current "locked" status. I'm not sure exactly what you are describing in your last comment, but if the rubber boot is missing or not properly positioned that certainly is not correct...

    Loose Floorboards

if you check on the af1 site you can see a listing of parts and a picture in the frame section it appears to show a locking clip. Did you look at the other floor board to see if they are both the same?

    Oh No - Not Tires

https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=200-60r16-180-65r16 they are very close as long as the profile is stable as was described above. Checking a couple of sites it appears 6.00 inch rim is max for a 180 tire compatability. 190-200 are "perfect". Safe travels and YMMV YRMV

    Oh No - Not Tires

Appears like the TWI is located in the next "zag" about where your coin is in the "zig" (technical tire sipe term).... I'd say you got your $ worth.

    Tire changes "on the road"

Some good tips offered and I can add that shops be it Honda, Harley, BMW, etc., have been very helpful the few times I've needed help while traveling (nowhere near the few preferred dealerships). I always carry any unique tool or relay I may need and then any good mechanic can give a hand. On...

Marietta Sports Cars - Greater Atlanta, GA

Has become too common a question when not so long ago there were at least a few good shops to help in the region. I'm in the same boat and have discussed shops in VA and NC with others, does anyone have any insights on Sloan's?

To buy or not to buy

Congrats on the wife and Griso. It is the "anti-HD" as far as RPM goes and it will get better and better as she beds in (my Stelvio was much like my r12 BMW, 10-12K). It will pull from the basement, but mid 3-4ks will be better as well as running her up and down the rev range. Not to preach, but...

Moto Guzzi loses a Great Ambassador

Bill was such a great guy and enthusiast. Very saddened by this news, Rest in Peace my friend.

    Got Salt?

Lovely stuff isn't Bill!? I have gone on rides attempting to beat the approaching winter storms only to be Baptised in that crap. Ruined options on several still sunny and relatively warm, winter days. Howz the season been in Apple Land this year? Cheers

    Breva vs Deer not good

Hate to see another deer crash post, they are so unpredictable and in huge numbers in my area. Glad you are relatively OK and best of luck with mending your ankle and repairing the bike. Cheers

Keep burning out the left side headlight bulb

Same as Wayne with 1K fewer miles. Are you running a jumper to both lights? Just a few common causes to double check, but taking care not to "touch" the new bulb's glass surface, relays and proper gauge wire and the assembly has no damage or is loose that would allow undue vibration to fatigue...

    Gearbox clunk

From day 1, mine was so much smoother than my BMW ( that may not be saying much to some folks) and has if anything, just gotten better (20K). I don't shift often w/o using the clutch, but she never takes any effort regardless my efforts and I recall only 2-3 times I missed a smooth shift...

It's time for a Stelvio tire thread

It can't cost Dunlop anymore to add a stack of them with the rest of their tires being delivered here, wonder why not? After I posted the above reply my new Pirelli Trails had arrived. I put em on and they look great with no problems fitting the 190 rear. Saturday will be my first chance to ride...

Confessions of a Hungarian Root Vegatable Salesman

It's good to "come out of the closet" :o  I only keep one bike at a time and have been fortunate to have had good results on all my recent bikes (Triumphs, BM's and now the Stelvio), but I can appreciate the love/hate with any brand bike when reading posts like this. You want to trust...

It's time for a Stelvio tire thread

notasweetman Great to hear they added the matching front. I've used up the original syncs, Conti Road Attacks, a Pilot Road rear ("old" style) with a Road Attack front and waiting for a set of the new Scorpion Trails to be delivered. I ride a many miles of paved and gravel road, but no trails...
