Thank you!! I’ll look into that option.

It Had Been Some Time ...

That’s great! It’s a wonderful bike and worth keeping - especially with all the work you’ve done to make it perfect for you.

    Help! Emissions label for CA?

Thank you both! Todd, we are in Menlo Park so sadly not nearby. I’ll wait to hear from Piaggio for now. Would it cost a lot to get one of the stock labeled fenders from you? Raven, I’ll try the local dealer if no luck. Sadly I got the bike from Moto Int’l in Seattle and they’ve been gone for a...

    Help! Emissions label for CA?

Hello friends, I recently moved to California and am discovering the byzantine vehicle registration process here. I have a 2017 V7 III Racer on which I put the GuzziTech fender eliminator (worked great). The problem is that the OEM fender had the emissions label on it, and I don’t have that...

V7/V7 II Special/Racer Spoke Nipple Size

Resurrecting this thread - can anyone comment on spoke nipple torque for the V7 III Racer? Looked through the service station manual but can’t find it...thanks!

    GTM v2.0 Fender Elim Kit

Yes that’s what I mean. It didn’t cause issues for me. Install the rear ones and did not install the front ones until several weeks later. The regular front blinkers worked fine in the meantime. I think the circuits are separated front versus back, based on the wiring diagram. The Irides did...

    GTM v2.0 Fender Elim Kit

I recently installed Rizoma Irides front and back on my V7 III Racer. No resistors needed. As long as I had both sides connected correctly, flash rate was same as the OEM blinkers. If one side was not connected correctly, the other side flashed twice as fast. Actually, that was a useful test...

    V7 III headlight bracket removal

Yes indeed. I really like the look and sound. They’re a bit louder than I expected, so still getting used to that.

    V7 III headlight bracket removal

Sure thing. These are suboptimal phone photos I took for my own documentation, but hopefully they give you the idea. At some point I’ll adjust the flyscreen backet to get rid of the overhang, but it’s a minor concern.

    V7 III headlight bracket removal

Fair enough! It was pretty quick to do the front and back overall, despite my lack of motorcycle modification experience. I ended up just cutting the OEM brackets off with a Dremel because I had 15 min to get the job done while my kids were napping. Took about 5 min and left the forks etc...

    V7 III headlight bracket removal

Thank you both for your advice. More things to learn, I suppose. Godfrey, I used Rizoma Iride indicators from Todd's shop (also fit his tail tidy and GP megs so wanted something similarly compact on both ends). No resistors needed. I timed the flash rate of the OEM indicators. With both the...

    V7 III headlight bracket removal

Hi everyone, I've just installed a JW Speaker headlight and new front/rear turn signals on my V7 III Racer. The last step has me stumped: how to remove the OEM headlight brackets. The Motodemic/JW Speaker brackets clearly divide into 2 pieces to be fit/removed. I don't see a spot for the OEM...

    Improving tubed tires?

Thank you! That’s very helpful. Sounds like a reasonable step until I can save up for the Kineo wheels. It would be great to be able to switch to radials.

    Improving tubed tires?

Curious if anyone has used the Neuetech Tubliss system with their spokes wheels/tubes tires. They claim that it eliminates pinch flats, and the design seems like it might make a tubed tire patchable/pluggable in the field to limp home in case of a puncture. Looks like they’re mainly intended...

    HB center stand install?

Hi friends, This forum has been super helpful as I alter my bike (V7 III Racer) gradually. Thank you all for sharing your expertise! One question: is there any drawback to installing the HB center stand while the bike is on its side stand? I don’t have a lift etc currently and am wondering...

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Thanks, Todd! The store here is like candyland - too easy to be a glutton. I’m looking forward to putting your crashbars on and hope to slowly work my way through upgrades. Purchase date was 11/21/17.

V7 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Nice to meet you all! Recently got a V7 III Racer, number 0055. VIN ZGULDUB0XHM000014. Very excited for (someday) warmer weather here in MN. Bike is stock now but some small changes planned. You can also see the green bucket bike I take my kids riding in...
