Bore is the same as the 1100, stroke is shorter. The heads are the same except the inner spark plug hole is blocked off with a plug.
Stock I think you would notice the difference between an 850 and the Bellagio because of the single spark. It is a simple fix to add the second plug with the...
When I had this problem, like you, I swapped sensors which, like you had no effect on the big red triangle. I then plumbed in an oil pressure gauge to convince myself that there wasn't and actual oil pressure problem. I then swapped the dash unit (luckily I had a nearby service agent who let me...
If you can find a blank without the transponer (cheaper) you can have that cut to the current ignition switch and will be able to start with the new clocks as long as the key (transponder) for the 8v is sat close to the clocks

The foam on my tank stripped off in one go - nearly killed me as I was changing lanes on a bridge in peak hour traffic and the bike lost almost all power. This happened about 5 years ago and I haven't noticed any issues

You can put one of these in for your low beam - https://www.amazon.co.uk/OFF-ROAD-halogen-headlamp-bulb64217-01B-blister/dp/B00CDJVGRM to give you 65w low beam

The foam under my tank was , I think, grey but it definitely stripped off as I was riding along and ended up in the air filter. Nearly killed me as it did it in all at once and choked the air supply to the engine as I was cutting through peak hour traffic.
Steve
There is no need to remove the engine to remove the heads.
No comment on the reason for your question - I'm in no position to criticise believe me.
Unfortunately I have no other suggestion to remedy your problem. The good news is that its not hard, I've done it and my bike goes fine
Good luck
Steve
Water is the culprit for the swelling, the tank is rotationaly moulded Nylon which absorbs water and swells. Ethanol attracts water and if you leave ethanol laced fuel sitting for a time the water will separate out and the nylon will absorb some. If you are leaving the tank to ventilate I would...
10 Nm (7.38 lbf ft) and as John noted, yes even with this setting you can over tighten with a torque wrench. I know
Where abouts are you?
Steve (in Sydney)
My experience is that the pins outs differ for some of the models. My B850 has the same dash as a Norge, when it failed I tracked down a new1200 Sport dash which mostly worked but wouldn't operate the indicators. A new Norge dash worked fine.

I'm a bit late to the party here but would just like to say I've found two things helpful while fitting and removing my airbox.
One, fitting a fuel quick connect that is a quick connect and two, using a hairdryer to soften the rubber airbox manifolds.
There's actually a third one, remembering to...
