Do you happen to know the length ? I can`t measure them because I won`t be near the bike for couple weeks. I have to order some bolts and for some reason those mirror bolts being silver instead of black irritate me a lot :D Not a big deal because I can unscrew and measure them later but would be...
Really nice looking setup. Looks like OEM stuff.
BTW. Has anyone taken mirrors off from Special Edition ? I`m curious what size are the bolts that hold them in the bar end.
Baak probably ? Same as mine. Haven`t installed it yet. I was planning to fill the caps with shaped ABS-plastic strips but it should be shaped two way which makes it difficult. Next try is with garage door seal :D We`ll see how that goes.
When I get the OEM fender off I will investigate could...
So with Upmap you can easily go back to stock map ? Does the Upmap store the stock map to file before updating new one or how the going back to stock is made ?
If MG releases new firmware for ecu does it overwrite the Upmap firmware ? And then I have to either run with MG provided stock (new)...
Seems to be pretty common problem in Guzzis. Has anyone tried to seal the dash better ? If the water comes from below like @scottmastrocinque said sealing it from the top won`t help and would just make the situation worse. So it should be done from under.
Good choice. I saw a post of Koso Apollo (27-5869) installed to V7 850 and looks like the HG13 is pretty much same with just different grips. I also have HG13 on the shelf but haven`t installed them yet. Please post instructions when you have installed them.
Thanks, that was quick. That explains why Baak fender is so narrow in V7 850 under the seat and they say it fits all the models :D Probably it fits nicely for older models, fits to V7 850 too but is too narrow under the seat (leaves caps between frame and fender).
What is the best place to...
That pretty much sums it :) So does the different V7 models have difference in rear fender mounting points, shape etc ? I`m going to buy older V7 rear fender for my V7 850 mod project if it is bolt-on job. I don`t want to cut the original if something (and probably does) goes wrong.
At least...
Thanks for the confirmation and sorry about the stupid questions but actually post above just confused me more. I mean earlier someone just removed the hose and put a ~8mm slug (I would assume thread cutted off from M8 bolt would do the same) to the hose and connected it back to vent without...
Good topic but as a non-native english speaker I read it ten times and still have to ask just to make it sure that I don`t destroy anything :) Sorry that I borrowed some pictures from this topic.
1. As shown in the picture; the hose from tank to evap-canister (marked as yellow/1.) could be...
How many different maps there is for V7 850 E5 in the Upmap ? From website I got the feel that there would be only three options;
1. Improved for stock
2. with slip-ons (with db-killers)
3. with slip-ons (without db-killers)
I`m going to do SAS-delete, Evap delete, Mistral velocity stack...
That belief is actually a fact :D I absolutely was born in the wrong country for this hobby. To be honest; summer can be very hot (it varies from year to year) but it`s short and even if there is 25-30`C (77-86F) in the day, the mornings and nights are still cold. So if you are doing a day trip...
Seems to be the same lifting points that I discovered :D Front points are still the problem because of the exhaust. BTW I wouldn`t worry about the winter storage. I never had any problems with tires etc. over winter and I have never used lifts to storage. Winter in here is looooong :D
On my previous bikes I had front lift (like in the picture) and rear lift which went through the axle. I have also used ConStands "frame lift/central lift" which was really nice and easy to use. Front lift seems to work with V7 too but rear lift (of course) won`t. What kinda lifts have you used...
Thought about that too because it would solve two problems at once, but "regular footpegs" are pretty rare. Just found out the ones in the photos. No mention about model but for me they look like Stone/Special passenger footpegs ?
Another problem is where I get the money to buy aftermarket...
I`m reconsidering my choices so what other options there is for "Special Edition" than H&B C-bow ? Unit Garage offers soft bags, Franco Cuoio makes leather side cases, Givi doesn`t offer anything for Special Edition.
Considering rear rack too so it would be nice to be compatible with them but...
I see it now :D I`m not sure was I really so blind or wasn`t it available in the november when I ordered. Will see how hard it is to buy. Can`t buy straight from H&B because we have "local dealer" in Finland but it`s not available via their website yet.
But this really changes things and now I...
Just learned the hard way about V7 850 Stone/Special and "Special Edition" differences. Because of the Arrow exhaust the "Special Edition" also has different passenger foot pegs so things that attach to exhaust mounting point won`t fit (like H&B C-bow) :( So it is same thing with slip-on...
