1100 several things on dash not working.

Update:- success! Turns out my bikes wiring bears little comparison to the drawing ( thanks anyway Dave). I grew up on British bikes so went old school. Tracked the loom to right hand side connector just under the tank. The connector showed signs of bad corrosion. Bugger to get at as well...

1100 several things on dash not working.

Thank Dave, Yep that's the drawing I'm looking at. I agree the earths are blue but where does it terminate? It goes into the loom sleeve, does it go straight to the main earth or somewhere else. The mode button is also sleeved, I was hoping to not cut into it. Do you know the wire colours...

1100 several things on dash not working.

Thanks John, It was my intention to do just that. I am wondering where there may be other earths specific to the instrument cluster situated somewhere other than the main earth. I would also like to know where the select switch wiring can be traced to, the wiring diagram is unclear. I was...

1100 several things on dash not working.

Hi guys, I sent my dash to Carmo. They were very helpful to the point of send a video clip. Turns out there is nothing wrong with the dash. I have just refitted it and still have the problem. Koen at Carmo gave me some checks to do around the three way switch and I am not getting the voltage...

1100 several things on dash not working.

Thanks Kevin, Winter only started today with a pathetic attempt of 0'C and the bike hasn't been out in even that. I have tried the connections already without luck. I am dreading that it may be something more sinister. Raggi

1100 several things on dash not working.

Hi guys, I bought a Griso 1100 in amazing condition with everything working. It was left for a couple of months (Winter) and the battery lost charge ( I didn't know), when I tried to start it everything obviously lost power. It now will not 1. Cycle through menus using the left front select...

    Jeez not again. Cams

Thanks Dave, Could you elaborate on what to look for? I know if there is degradation it has not been worked on but how will I know if there is a new kit fitted? Has it got something to identify it, if it is not standard etc? Cheers Raggi

    Jeez not again. Cams

Nope, the pictures show me a degraded valve and cam setup with cover removed. As I have no frame of reference I am confused as to which part indicates that a new kit has been fitted. If the machine has only done 8000 miles there may not be degradation. Is the kit visually different? Are there...

    Jeez not again. Cams

So thanks for that. However I have already read this and it doesn't tell me what I want to know. As stated in my post I have done searches on this forum but not found an answer. Perhaps my question was vague. I am trying to find out if there is a way, either by inspection or records (perhaps...

    Jeez not again. Cams

hi all. I am sure this is on the forum somewhere but I can't find it, Sorry for asking the inevitable. I want to buy a 2009 Stelvio, the dealer says he doesn't know if the cams issue was ever addressed. It only has 8000 miles on it so it may not have had it done. I live in the Highlands of...
