After the first 400 miles a better rear shock may be something I look into.

Initial thought after 400 miles or so. Generally I just set sag as close as I can and call that it, and that's all I may do on this bike after I give the shock more time to break in. But my initial feeling is I'll want to change it because the ride on rough pavement and dirt/gravel roads is...

Delay after pressing start button, 2015 Cali 1400

Recently what happens when pressing the start button normally is nothing. But when holding it pressed in, after about 3 seconds the starter activates and the bike starts right up. Battery shows 12.7V at rest. Same delay when pressing the starter button with the bike still connected to the...

A question re mufflers, are they symmetrical?

This is a silly question as it wouldn't make sense for them not to be but I just want to confirm. If measuring from say the widest edge of the rear tire to the center of both mufflers exit, are the distances the same? I just noticed when putting them back on after changing the rear tire that the...

California 1400 differences or changes between years?

Greetings, yesterday I picked up a 2014 (2015?) California Custom and I'm just trying to educate myself on this model as well as what changes were made between years of California 1400 production? I have a V85TT and have become familiar with it but know next to nothing about the 1400 series. Any...

    Slip-on question for 21 V85TT

Agostini shows two slip-ons for the V85TT, AMV85TTON, and the same number only "E5" for Euro 5. I assume Mistral, Arrow, and others offer the same as well. My "guess' is the regular versions comply with E4 noise with the DB killer in and the E5 versions comply with E5 noise with DB killer in. I...

Suggestions For Book(s) on Moto Guzzi?

Greetings all, as the title says I'm interested in buying a book on Guzzi including the more recent V7 series because well.... that's what I have now. Previous two were 1972 V7 Sport and 07 Griso. Did an internet search Moto Guzzi History book and what few come up are either unavailable or...

    Have Service Intervals Changed Recently?

Dropped of my V7 2 Stone with 650 miles for them to resolve its "barely able to run" issue and while there torque the heads and set the valves. Service writer said MG's made some recent changes to the maintenance schedules and they now recommend it be done at 3,200 miles. Anyone else hear this?
