So I decided to have the rear caliper mount on bottom side, giving it more clearance. I'll have to fab up a bracket stay and cut the old one off, but that's no big deal. I am running into an issue tho... When I put the axle on and tighten down the axle nut, the wheel hub doesnt seem to sit flat...

Moving to the rear brake and rearsets, I picked up a set of rearsets to mock up with. I welded in a couple mounts for the ducati master cylinder, whipped up a linkage and all is good there. Working on the shift linkage, I decided to reuse the cross bar since it has the arm to connect to...

Coils, ignition and rectifier/regulator showed up today. Got the mounts welded in for the coils. Figured out I can use the bracket/holes already on front of frame for the rectifier/regulator which is great. I also got a breather filter and cap for the ports on top of engine.

Thanks to my new friend Patrick, I now have a rear drive unit from a convert and a t3 rear disc setup. I took the ring and pinion from my rear drive and installed them into the convert case. This will give a sleeker look than the larger rear drive case that came on my bike. I am waiting on a...

I got the monoshock swingarm tacked welded up for fitment this morning. I will remove it to fully weld the connections on the hoop. Then reinstall to final weld to the stock swingarm.

Yup, exactly. I am just not sure if the reduced turn radius it has right now would be ok to ride or not. I'd hate to get this tank all painted and fitted right, just to not be happy with the steering, you know?

Hhmmm. I will have to look into that. Thanks!

So I have a dilemma with the gas tank. The gsxr forks hit fairly early in the turning radius imo. Blue tape shows where the forks hit. Looking for some advice on what to do. Either leave it and deal with the lack of uturns when done, dent the tank in for some relief of the forks or find a...

Yeah it's still a work in progress, so as things pop up, I will address them.

The point of no return has arrived!!!! And the monoshock subframe modifications have started as well. Using 1/2" PVC, heating and bending to shape is a lot cheaper and easier to work with for the mock up stages than steel.

    850-T Brat Custom Build

For the monoshock setup, I ended up getting a Ducati 900ss rear shock as I have read others using it too. Well, looks like its too long at 13" eye to eye, unfortunately. I would have to weld the front mount to the underside of the cross bar, which would get in the way of the carbs and make more...
