    V7 Cafe Fairing

Yup it looks like a Dremel is necessary. I'm willing to give it a try though. If it looks halfway decent I'll keep it on, if not...away it goes. I got it on eBay also probably from the same seller.

    V7 Cafe Fairing

This is a generic/universal fairing. I've read a review someplace where it was said that he rerouted the cables (brake+throttle) maybe he did that by "notching" the fairing? I arrived at the same conclusion although it will affect the aesthetics a bit. As far as a mounting bracket I can...

    V7 Cafe Fairing

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all first and let's hope 2021 will be better. Does anyone have this particular front fairing installed and if so I'd appreciate a tip of how to do it. I'm more concerned regarding the right hand side where the brake and throttle cables are in the way. It...

    Stoptix brake light

Is anyone familiar/has Stoptix installed? I'm having problems programming it. It's an easy process but I've got no luck so far.

V7 Stone valve cover bolt/horror story

Problem solved. Took it to a mechanic/dealer and what he did have no idea but I should've done that from beginning.

V7 Stone valve cover bolt/horror story

Yes the bolt is kaput but I've purchased 6 new ones (dealer had only 6 and online AF1 Racing had only 4.) This impact tool looks handy and many thanks for the info/link. I'll give it a try but for the life of me I'm not getting why there would be Loctite in there. Accidents do happen but why...

V7 Stone valve cover bolt/horror story

So here I was attempting to do a valve clearance check/adjustment on my '13 Stone. Pretty easy task except for the imbecile that previously worked on it. I'm not the original owner so I'm not sure if it was a mechanic or the owner that did this imaginable stupidity. He put Loctite on one bolt...

    Valve Cover Gasket V7 Stone

    Duly noted. Thank you

    Valve Cover Gasket V7 Stone

Thanks. I'm afraid that all I have approaching chassis grease is Vitamin A+D ointment :) So I'll smear a thin layer of engine oil since I'll change that at the same time.

    Valve Cover Gasket V7 Stone

Quick question: is it advisable to smear a little oil on the gaskets before installing them? I have the ones with rubber coating and metal inserts. Thanks

    Gear/Final Drive Plug Seize

    Thanks. I'm checking that asap.

    Gear/Final Drive Plug Seize

Hi fellas I'm getting ready to change fluids on my 2013 V7 Stone and I need to purchase the correct size keys for the drain/fill plugs of the gear and final drive. I have looked in the manual...nothing mentioned. I've Googled with the same results. Thanks in advance

    Antigravity battery for '13 Stone

Does anyone have an idea as for the correct Antigravity Lithium battery that a '13 Stone requires? Thanks

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Thanks guys. I'm going to ask the dealer if they have the metal clips. Just now I've checked again the plugs to the injectors and they are firmly in place, don't seem to be easily to disconnect but for peace of mind I'll get the clips.

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Very close V700Steve :) The darn thing was disconnected! And tucked in there not visible at all. Now this is kind of strange because even though the bike shakes it doesn't do it to the extent that warrants this to disconnect on it's own. Furthermore there was no work done on the bike to...

    2013 V7 won't fire up

PROBLEM SOLVED! Can anyone guess how I got to the bottom of it? Hint: a very simple task ;)

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Had a few free minutes today and checked the spark plug on the left cylinder, the one that runs half-heartedly. It looks good. However I've discovered some damage to the spark plug wire/photos attached. Could this be the problem? It doesn't look as if the wire damage extended past the wire...

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Nope... I didn't do any conversion plug wire cutting because they snapped right in tight. As far as the charcoal canister I'm not sure whether is out or not as I'm not the original owner. As I have mentioned the bike ran fine until Sat. when it refused to fire up and now it runs but barely...

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Update/Good+bad news. I wiggled the wires from the start button/kill switch box and the starter kicked. I opened it up and cleaned the contacts + lubed the spring in there. Put a fully charged battery and the bike started up. However... It runs rough, idle is low at or less than 1000 RPM ...

    2013 V7 won't fire up

Oh.. Okay. This eliminates that wire as a problem. So I'll try the wire trick tomorrow weather permitting. Also I'll re-check the switches although they seems to be fine.... By the way, where is the safety relay located at?
