    GPS Nuvi To TomTom circuit

The Nuvi 500/550 is the only model in that line that is waterproof. I have had mine for two years now and have ridden through some very heavy rainstorms with it. No problems. Bruce

    ECU disconnect

I am glad you got it sorted out, David! Those electrical gremlins can be vexing! By the way, I can't seem to update my signature block. The '09 Stelvio in my sig is no longer mine - it was the subject of this thread. Cheers, Bruce

    Heated grips no workey

Ninja, try it with the bike in neutral but with the engine running. I have never tried activating my grips with the engine turned off. Also, don't expect blistering heat from the factory heated grips. They will become lukewarm, but that is about the best you can expect. Bruce

    Heated grips no workey

Got it. In that case, it sounds like a fuse is the likeliest culprit. Congrats on the purchase, by the way. I love my '09 Stelvio. :D Bruce

    Heated grips no workey

This may sound dumb, but are you sure your Stelvio is actually equipped with heated grips? They were a factory option on older Stelvios, so even if you had the dash display, it doesn't necessarily mean your bike is so equipped. You should be able to see the wires running from the grips if you do...

    Deciding on a Stelvio

I have a 2009 Stelvio, purchased new that year. I have found it to be the best all-round motorcycle I have owned, and I have had a number over the past 42 years. It has plenty of power, handles superbly, and is very comfortable. Although (in my opinion) it is too big and heavy to be a true...

Stelvio REGISTRY & Pics thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

Re: Stelvio out and about pics here... What a fine looking collection of Guzzi iron! I am partial to the red, since it is identical to mine, but the Stelvio looks strapping in white as well! :D Thanks for sharing, Bruce

    New to Guzzi!

For better or worse, we have been on the metric system here for many years, although I still think in terms of inches, pounds and miles per hour. :D Bruce

    New to Guzzi!

Yes, litres per 100 km. is how metric consumption is measured. Since mine is a Canadian market Stelvio, that is how it was set up when I received it, so I have never had to mess around with changing it. I am guessing that when you get into the menu, there is an option to do so in settings. Bruce

    New to Guzzi!

At one time, Ducati had such a program, but I have not heard of it being done for the last number of years. You're right. It would be a great idea. I have to think there must be some logistical and administrative problems which prevent it from happening. Bruce

    New to Guzzi!

I have never owned a Strom, but have had the opportunity to ride borrowed bikes (both 650 and 1000 CC versions) fairly extensively. I liked the V-Strom. I found it (especially the larger version) powerful and nice handling, all-in-all a very competent motorcycle. The difference between the Strom...
