    So, I actually took that advice and was able to get it in without puncturing the rubber bellows. Two zip ties, a vice, and some grease, then cut the ties and pull them out.

    Yes, exactly. It is a sharp circlip with no holes to use a tool upon. The sharp ends easily puncture the rubber boot when you try to install it into the swing arm.

    I have searched everywhere I can for a tip or a tool that lets you install the retaining clip for the V7 driveshaft boot and can find no info.
