GTM Fuel Kit - E5 V85TT Performance Mods & Dyno graphs and PC6 info

Let’s talk about magic, discipline, and things that make cows run. Recently, I installed two items on my v85 that must only work because of magic and sorcery unknown to most men. Items that completely transformed this bike from something cool but frustrating, into something worth owning and...

    UpMap Q&A

I read your warning and still managed to make the same mistake. They really do need a better way of laying those things out. What’s most frustrating…and makes me feel stupid lol…is when I selected the EU map, I checked everything to make sure it was the setup I needed etc and it said “this is...

    UpMap Q&A

Did my map tonight on a 2021 v85. A couple of points. So I wasted my free map on the EU version of what I needed. Surprise surprise, that won’t install on the bike and it will throw an error code. Lesson learned, don’t be that guy. After buying the correct US map, my iPhone wouldn’t stay...

    V85TT Mods Thread

Ok awesome, I have it all on and finger tight until those adapters come for the sensors. Any hints on getting those unplugged? I don’t want to be twisting the wires all around when I tighten them again.

    V85 front end “hop”

No luck adjusting the hop out after 4 days on the road and driving my brother mad with my suspension adjustments at every stop haha. Bike will be headed to the dealer for heated grip install and I’ll have them sort it out. I will update for those interested.

    V85 front end “hop”

I have my preload that high because that’s what it takes for me to get to 50mm of rider sag. With all the preload out in the front I get 47mm of rider sag. I’ll be on the road for 4 days so I will have time to play with it and will try setting it back lower in the rear, but that would result...

    V85 front end “hop”

I took the wheels to a local shop and had them re-balance the tires. I’ll be on the road for 4 days so we will see if that solved the problem.

    V85 front end “hop”

Yea I don’t want to throw money at it and still have the hop. I wanted better suspension simply to have better suspension...but not better suspension with a hop haha.

    V85 front end “hop”

I tried that, no effect on the hop. I put it back up because that got me to target sag.

    V85 front end “hop”

I guess I should say where I am on suspension at this point. Preload all out in the front, 12 clicks out on damping. I am second to highest notch of preload on the rear, damping one turn out. I weight 185 pounds without gear.

    V85 front end “hop”

Interesting, I wonder why that would be.

    V85 front end “hop”

I am experiencing the dreaded front end “hop” that has been well documented on other forums. “Hop” happens at 35-45 mph. Wheels are true and balanced, suspension has been adjusted, tires have been changed...nothing changes other than how I feel the “hop”. Has anyone else experienced this? And...

    V85TT Suspension Thread

Ok, needing some help with suspension. I set my sag, which required pulling all the preload out of the front (only hit 47mm7 and almost maxing the rear (to hit desired number). I’m 185 pounds out of gear, and the bike road better however, my front forks sort of “pogo” from 35 mph to 40mph...
