My experience is that I bought a 2007 Griso in 2010 brand new (untitled) from Moto International. Love it and have had no problems. Just make sure all the fluids are checked/changed, have a close look at the tires to make sure they haven't aged badly. All rubber compounds harden as they age...
Generally speaking If the bike wasn't factory manufactured to comply to US safety standards and purchased in the USA, you're out of luck.
Canadian law also states "Furthermore, there are no provisions in the Motor Vehicle Safety Act that allow you to modify a vehicle sold in a country other...
I've had a Mistral on my G1100 for a year and the HB Junior bags. My turn indicator is now quite melted. I'm actually looking for a replacement set in aluminum.
I'm totally interested. My biggest gripe with the Griso is the difficulty I have in locating the rear brake pedal when in slow city traffic. I was looking at replacing the brake pedal with something longer, but I hadn't gotten around to it yet.
Hey, Federico first it's Stradavarious then here...where next?
Welcome to the forum. I'll try to be at your shop on Saturday, sounds like fun! What time?
Regards,
Mike.
When first riding my Griso, I too was frustrated by the number of times I honked the horn when I meant to signal. Finally I had to start looking at the switches when turning, a habit that now causes me to brake early and take hard turns more slowly. The jury is still out as to whether this is a...
Any Lower Mainlanders have experience with Pacific Yamaha BMW Triumph Aprilia MotoGuzzi Husqvarna ?
I need some suspension tweaks on my Griso but don't feel the confidence to do it myself. I tried MI in Seattle but I got the hairy eyeball (from one tech) for suggesting that, as a Guzzi novice...
Well I decided to get on to adapting the Griso to my liking. Bought a Mistral pipe and some Pazzo Levers. The pipe sounds great and the bike seems to run OK, although with the dB killer out it will backfire sometimes - at low speed, downhill in a tail wind ;)
The only wrinkle is that the pipe...
I've got the Aprilia Mana handlebar on my Griso; slightly taller, more swept back, and narrower. I too have a shorter reach and find these bars a much better fit.
I'm not sure if you're being facetious Entrecôte old bean, but in my short time owning a Griso I do find it seems to wallow in the turns. At least compared to my VFR. I am actually going to ride to the dealer to see what's up. 07 1100, stock everything (except the handlebar). so far I've put the...
Here's my Griso with some CRG Arrows. Sorry I don't have a shot of the back side but the mount has a pivot on the bar clamp that rotates inward or outward. The mirror itself has a ball mount so it can be rotated and tilted. I wanted these in from the end but of course you could also clamp them...
The Rizomas also come as a Triumph accessory with an easy to burnish off Triumph logo. Part #A96378030. I've looked at these and if I recall they clamp onto either an optional bar end or directly onto the bar.
If memory serves Triumph sells each mirror as a "kit" that included the bar end, but...
Has anyone done twin pipes in a Griso? I'm curious because I've never been happy with the BMWesque exhaust note on my G1100. One of the things that drew me to Moto Guzzi was the sound of the California and I've been thinking if that sound was possible on a Griso. 'Course it may all be a (pardon...
I've got the CRG Arrows on my Griso. You can mount them inboard of the barend weights the way I did to get better clearance. You can also reverse them so that they sit above the grips - although I find them a bit tight that way. Here's a pic attached.
