How To Recover The 5 Digit Security Code

Well, I did not have the old USER code so I read the user/maintenance book and posts 10,16 and 54. Inserted first key, turned on, applied service code 34534 for Cal 14, went to recovery, it read 1st key and requested 2nd, turned off and immediately inserted 2nd key to on, it asked for NEW code...

    Cafe' cruiser d' Eleganse

I did, they are hand laid fiberglass and carbon, set in epoxy over foam, shaped and contoured to follow the lines of the bike. Same for the oil cooler scoop. The hand wind guards are aluminum and stainless. I did purchase the headlight ring and smoked wind screen. SKIP

    Oh No - Not Tires

I went with Bridgestone Excedra Max tires in stock size, front and rear on my C-14. 6,000 mi great tire. comparable to my commander 2 & 3s the feel seems to allow the bike to drop into the curves nicely for the sportier mindset. SKIP

    2021 850 Le Mans?

I have a 02 V-11 LeMans with the full fairing and I think that what you are talking about doing to your 850 is going to give it an absolutely fantastic look. Show a presentation when your done. SKIP

    Two wheels for Winter...

Very Cool I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Kind of satisfy the Dirt Bike itch, but is easier, healthier, and safer.

WOW... Scott, you were very generous with your words and I thank you for that. I'm with you, especially with cars, I absolutely love the stock Hi/Po cars of the sixties and seventies. Have a fantastic day. SKIP

    Cafe' cruiser d' Eleganse

Thanks Pete, I think You and Scott are absolutely right, all that black and flat black is a dated look that I never really did care for. During the build I would use black construction paper and poster paint to try and find the right balance of contrast. I think what I ended up with presents...

    V100 Mandello Chat - H20

As far as the engineering, design, and targeted consumer, it's exactly the direction they needed to go. I absolutely love it. As far as the body work, I think it looks very good and can always be changed and schemed differently. Hurray Moto Guutzy

    Kuryakyn Momentum Outrider Saddlebags

That looks great!!! I think you made a good choice. Soft luggage is lighter easer to deal with, drop it, toss it anywhere and not a big deal. The trick is just setting up the right mounting system. I run with a similar set-up, except there Vetter soft side bags which I purchased new 50 years...

    C14 Muffler - Cat removal

A bit messy, but yes you can. We used to do that with our cars back in the day. Just don't breathe the dust, its TOXIC ceramic heavy metals. If you cut the reducer pipe off right at the weld, and use a slide hammer or equivalent, it will come right out. Index before you cut.

    Cafe' cruiser d' Eleganse

Thanks DeadEye, Factory look works for me. Shortened and gutted exhaust, added 1/4 faring, seat cowling, hand guards, and oil cooler scoop, and all hand crafted. Than I painted GM black metallic with four heavy layers of clear coat so you can't feel the stripes and gives a deep glossy look.

This is my interpretation of a Cal 14 Custom, race inspired with a touch of bold elegance. What started out as just a winter project has dragged into the summer a little, but that's OK I'm riding it now and enjoying every minute. Mechanical's, body fabrication, and painting are all the things I...

    HOT left cylinder

Hi Roadventure, Sorry to hear, I usually check my cylinder temps just above the exhaust flange after every ride using a infrared thermometer and they are both usually around 235 - 240 F. Thought this might help. Skip
