    V9 Roamer idle rev changes

Mine does that, too, when it’s hot out.

    MIU ECU Failure

My ’17 Roamer ECU failed last year, too. I read of another failure besides mine. Makes me nervous to ride very far. Let’s hope it’s not a V9 trend.

    Roamer & Bobber spring rate.

Here is what I’ve roughly measured for what it’s worth. Holding the spring upright in a tube and putting a 10 lb dumbbell on top causes the spring to deflect a hair over 5.5 mm. So that’s 1.818182 lbs per mm. 1.82 lbs rounded up equals 0.83 kg rounded up. My V9 spring is approx 0.83kg/mm +/- a...

    Roamer & Bobber spring rate.

I’m sure SOMEBODY knows. Its just a matter of finding them. It is NOT a progressive spring. With a progressive the windings are close together at one end and farther apart at the other, as I’m sure you know. The stock spring is equidistant wound. The fork is a bit stiff on normal road surfaces...

    Roamer & Bobber spring rate.

Anyone know for sure what the stock fork spring rate is on the ‘17 Roamer or Bobber? Searched but came up dry. Thanks.

Convert Turn Signals to Steady Burning?

I should also state the obvious lest someone get upset. The fused battery supply should be positive and a switched connection or the lights won’t turn off with the key.

Convert Turn Signals to Steady Burning?

This is the way I did it. The IRF4905 is a hexfet switch. There may be other better hexfets but these are cheap and I had some in my parts box. You’re basically cutting the line to your turn signal bulb and inserting this circuit. You need two - one for each side. The assembly is small enough...

    V7 ECU reliability ?

No warning. I had previously ridden uneventfully about 125 miles and the next time I tried to fire it up it was toast. No self check, no fuel pump noise, no gauge activity, nothing. Diag would not connect at all. Replacement of the MIU-G3 solved the issue.

    V7 ECU reliability ?

My MIU G3 failed on my Roamer in under 2K miles. Replaced it and kept the factory map. It runs better than it ever did, now. No need whatsoever for a remap. Just hope the first failure was a fluke.

    Head-scratcher - '21 HD Sportster S

Please - no water cooled Guzzis. When it gets to the point there are no more air cooled ICE bikes, I’ll walk.

V9 MPG and Givi Protection Bars

Are you running the stock map or GTM map? Just curious if that’s why you get along well with mid octane.

SOLVED ... V9 Roamer Oil LEAK, Fork Mess Repair

This is probably not the problem but when you get everything back together loosen the front axle pinch bolts and bounce the front end a couple times then retighten. This will align the fork tubes. I’m wondering if they were out of alignment and binding enough when riding (under load) it might...

    V9 Drop Speedo Bracket

I didn’t take any measurements. Basically took a piece of aluminum near the size needed and traced the holes from the speedo bracket then traced where I wanted it to go. Then used a file on the corners, etc to look good. All eyeball measurements. When I have time I’ll take it off and take...

    V9 Drop Speedo Bracket

This is a bracket I made to center the speedo on my ‘17 V9. It moves it down slightly but keeps the same angle. Maybe Tod or someone here might make some for others if anyone is interested. I used threaded inserts for the original bracket just because I had a few to try. You could just as...

    GTM ECU V7 & V9 Flash Tool

Two questions, if I may. On a completely stock bike with Todd’s basic map - are the O2 sensors turned off and with the map being richer in places is the lifespan of the catcon reduced? Will it eventually block or run too hot?

C14 - Secondary Air Supply Pump - SAS

One wonders how much it actually contributes to cleaning up the exhaust vs how much it’s actually diluting the air to fool emissions testers. It only adds air at idle or de-acceleration. Maybe I’m over thinking it. I would like to get rid of the popping and extra hardware, though.

V9 Registry & Picture thread -- ADD YOUR BIKE

ZGULHU002HM000306 - Paul - Chillicothe (the armpit of Ohio) purchased 9/17/2020 2nd hand from Cadre Cycle in Cincinnati. This is my first Guzzi. Why oh why did I waste 48 of my riding years without trying one. I love it. It suits me in so many ways.

    V9 Suspension Thread

Ignoring the stock fork spring rate of the V9, is the main issue that the compression and rebound valving Is too much or not enough in general? The factory oil is viscosity rated at 7.5 at 100C but is actually around 32 at 30C. In normal casual street riding I wouldn’t think it would ever get...
