I am also looking at first Guzzi. I have ridden only big bikes since I was a kid. Started with Honda Shadow, then moved on to Yamaha Roadliner, Triumph LT and have had Harley Road King Special since 2017. I modded all bikes. The Harley has complete Stage 2 i would say with S&S complete...
Thanks for the input. My HD is about 1,000lbs fully loaded. Without the tour pack it’s probably close to 900 lbs. I’m hoping to find the V100 much lighter at 500ish pounds. I admit the handling on my Harley was do-able on loose gravel but not fun - at least in my hands.
I will definitely look...
I know this is a "sport tourer", made for the tarmac. I'm wondering if anyone has had it in bad road conditions/off road. Wondering how it would handle a well groomed trail? Gravel? I know it will handle miles better than my Harley RKS; but would love to hear from any of you with experience...
Any word yet?? Just looking forward to your end product. I'm a modder and will be looking for more juice for sure. I'm sure you'll post when it's done and you have the dyno numbers....I'll keep watching and waiting. p.s. I'm guessing you didn't sell your v85tt since you need at least one for...
Yeah. That needs fixing for sure. Maybe Todd will have some input?
Clutch housing must be getting stuck “out” ..... why only 5 to 6?
Good luck! I’d love to hear how it goes with your dealer friend.
I’m with ya Todd. And I’m still interested. The mods to my Harley made all the difference. Removing the cat alone increases performance in every bike I’ve ridden previously....
I’m good. Already planning for the upgrades.
Appreciate the feedback vagrant. Looking forward to test rides weather permitting.
In addition to our local dealer, there is an “Adventure” Red/White for sale at a local resale shop. It’s got 3K miles on it and for some reason handlebar risers? . They’re asking $11 for it which seems pretty...
I know I’m late to the party but.... since you mentioned it, here’s a great and quick article about galling: albanycountyfasteners.com/Thread-Galling-and-Fastener-Seizing-s/1248.htm
Right. One of the issues I’m considering. I could get a 2020 at a discount from local dealer or pay full for ‘21. Think I want the ‘21.
And then modding full exhaust and mapping with Todd!
Exactly Hippo. I’ve got a lot to work out with my dealer. He’s got three 20’s that he wants to move but I’m really starting to lean to the ‘21. I’m hoping the engine and exhaust tip to bottom is the same so I can still use Todd’s overhaul!
