  • Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. 2005 V7 Breva Odometer stuck on 99999

Well, a friend of mine sent me a blown Aprilia dashboard similar to the Griso's panel and I see an eeprom chip on the pcb which probably holds all this data but it is a different circuit to the 750 panel...

    New forum software and look

The new forum looks good! :) However a wider smiley collection is in order, me thinks, to help overcome the written word limitations ;) I now scarcely sneak in here as my Guzzi dream has drifted well away but if I ever get into the Guzzi world I will be contributing the proper way as there are...

    Modern "No Start" issue solution

I read once somewhere that circa early '80s an engineer would be fired from GM if he suggested the addition of just one resistor to a car's management system currently under production if he could not prove that this addition would be needed for safety reasons and not just for engineering...

    Modern "No Start" issue solution

Thanks again! This is the handicap of half-knowledge: However much out-of-the-blue complex data I recollect, I miss essential information about basic stuff like this - thank god for forums!

    Modern "No Start" issue solution

Very very nice documents! I suppose this double wound solenoid is not specific to Guzzis so thank you for the enlightenment since I had not come across to such data yet. By the way, a link to the numbering scheme of most automotive electrics that I came across the other day...

Ear plugs and blue tooth devices....

Well, I tested a Windjammer-hifi earplugs combo setup a fortnight ago on a mixed mainly tarmac round trip of 450 kms. I gladly report that this combination works well, with each product complimenting the other for a very good overall result, at least on my Shoei Multitec :) While I did the...

Griso 8V - Will odometer stop working at 100,000 miles ?

240kms commuting per day surely makes my head spin... I never stop to be amazed of the scale difference of things over there....

    MRA VarioTouring windshield extension

At last tried my Windhjammer: http://store.guzzitech.com/forum/169/9100?start=10#p87226

Ear plugs and blue tooth devices....

At last I tested the Windjammer on my Shoei Multitec flip-up with results less than impressive. It surely eliminates subsonic turbulence and makes most related audible artifacts much less pronounced and also rectifies the air stream around the base of the helmet but it also surely does not make...

    Bye all.

Well, it is nice to listen to happy people going from a gorgeous bike to a more attack-oeriented one! I look forward to a comparison report when you got the orange beast properly seated-in. Happy miles!

Griso 8v fuse 'C' [or is it 'B'?] blowing on start

Re: Griso 8v fuse 'C' blowing on start Most electric stuff draws quite a big pulse of current upon energization and their running current is much less than these first moments of power-on. As said, a pump that has a bit higher friction due to debris accumulation or wear sounds as the most...

    Re: Bellagio mods

:? Could that be the reason for the proximity of exhaust can to rear shock on older Buells?

    Harness almost "on fire"

Things are a bit deceiving: Minor surface rusting or some slack on the connector pins could put there say just a quarter of an ohm of resistance. Continuous 8Amps (for some normal 100W load) through 0.25 ohm means .... (drum roll) .... 16 watts on the connector! That's enough to slowly fry...

Strange sound coming from LH cylinder head 8V

Always had some strange interest in Moto Guzzis growing up even when they seemed to be completely out of place like with the 2 valver derivatives of Daytona in comparison to their Japanese sport contemporaries in the '90s. They looked really outdated but in some strange attractive way that I...

Strange sound coming from LH cylinder head 8V

Better late than never! How much more did you wait for parts? And you jave covered how much kms since the repair? Whoa, its been three years since the last post.... It only makes me glad to see you resolved your issues and sad to see that I am three years less close to my dream bike...

    A taste of the Cal 14 - 3.15.13

What I see is that this bike was designed with the side luggage in place - the middle split line is not making its presence at all in this configuration and the luggage optically balances the front bulges that make the unluggaged rear seem too slim in comparison, at least to my eyes. It is the...

Rain-testing the Stock CARC Vent - Myth Busting ?

Maybe a piece of foam through the upper vent banjo to keep insects out? Heard a story of a friend's friend XT550 starved of oil when a biggie big horsefly somehow got through the oil cap during some casual oil change and clogged the feed pipe to the pump. Yes, different case but here's a...
