    Oh No - Not Tires

Speaking of stiff sidewalls, this frigging rear Bridgestone gave me and my son a run for our money, ( and here I thought the old ME888 was stiff back when I installed it ). My new Constand tire changer was working the edge of its limits on that wide of a tire but it got it. Now I'll see how well...

    Oh No - Not Tires

Your autism is working overtime Scott Your application might work for you but it won't work on my 1400 if my rear tire blows out, lets not forget about all the other tools one would need to just get to the point of removing the rear tire on a Cali Touring. Nobody on this post was pushing or...

John The No Mar was on my list along with the Rabaconda$$ but stumbled across this set up and the u-tube videos were impressive and most of all it seemed a lot more portable than the NoMar so I can just throw it in the truck when I do trailer the bike somewhere being my bikes seem to attract...

    Oh No - Not Tires

Yes I've changed out tires on my 1400's several times. I did just pick up a tire changer and we'll see if it works/makes it any easier then just using spoons and a bead breaker.

    Oh No - Not Tires

Scott just PM'd you, 6mm wider or taller?
  15. William H.

    Oh No - Not Tires

OK so if my thinking is correct, we're only talking about a 1.5mm difference on the radius, I can't see that affecting the speedo much at all ? EDIT!! wait I over did it!, 3mm on the overall height radius of the tire. So 3mm could make some (minute) difference on indicated speed

    Oh No - Not Tires

Hey I've read through the last 12 pages and read one post about the speedo being off when going from a 200/60 to a 180/65. Is it a lot off?? Not a huge deal to me as I've ridden with three other bikers and none of us have ever agreed on how fast we were going tho the cop who stopped me two weeks...

    Ignition Switch Fail

OK I took the old switch apart and one of the two contact blades was stuck, I just had to trim off a little piece of excess plastic and now its all freed up ( cleaned up the contacts also ). Thanks for this great post and this great site. Here is a few more pic's of the switch just because.

    Ignition Switch Fail

Damn! that went better/faster than I expected, of course its nice to have a parts bike to go to first to see how everything comes apart. Installed switch from my old bike and everything is back to normal. I'll see about repairing the old switch later or order a new one to keep in stock.

    Ignition Switch Fail

Park lights come on when I put the key over into park. Now if I press down on key while its in run/on position then dash will light up and then go dead when I release pressure so I'm really thinking it that springy thing but we'll see. 👍
