Hi, again.
Well when I switch on, (battery is fully charged), the lights at the clocks don't light and the needles on the speedo etc don't swing and the 30A relay buzzes. Of course it will not start. If I remove the 30A fuse second from the right of the fuse holder, the lights and needles light...
Hi, all.
I have always realised my 12000 miles in three years is not a huge mileage, and someone else on this forum(hi) has hit 20000. What huge mileages have been seen, as I would like to estimate when trouble can be expected? That is how reliable are these wonderful motorcycles?
Charlie
All I can find downloaded is the parts diagram.
So does it go like this? Pop out the spring, then the pins. Push in the pistons. Then swap the pads replace the pins and spring.
Or will it all be jammed solid?
Watch this space........

Hi, Joe.
The left hand wheel bearing was shot. Although it is a sealed bearing, there is very little other protection here, just an external rubber ring. Very disappointing. Fortunately the guys in the shop replaced the bearings on the spot for a bargain £18 all inclusive. Excellent service...
Well that is what it is called in the downloadable V7C manual. It is the cap headed bolt which goes into the swingarm above the rear brake calliper. When I removed it to take the wheel out, it had spalled onto the swing arm and damaged the thread in the aluminium alloy. I would advise anyone to...
That's the centre stand and new crossover fitted. It certainly does not reduce bottom end torque which remains the best bit about these bikes. Top end seems no lower than standard anyway, I've only been up to 70mph. It's a bit awkward to disconnect the lambda sensor (which was very loose) so we...
I had a good look at the clutch actuating arm today. It is exactly where road dirt accumulates, so I have oiled the nipple and arm. Its all getting a bit rusty down there.
Charlie
Well I fiddled with the cable and it seems OK now. I'm going to replace the cable, so I'll look up how to do this somewhere, and fit a normal cable you can oil.
Thanks, Pete
Charlie
Since my guarantee runs out soon, I intend to maintain the bike myself (V7C). A new crossover will be handy for the gearbox drain bolt. But, I can't find a crossover on the Stucci site anymore. However a crossover is for sale by http://www.corsaitaliana.com. Is this the same as the Stucci one...
Thank you for all the answers, especially Holt. I have got Penrite Hypoid 80W-90 for the gearbox and Penrite Hypoid 85W-140 for the rear drive, both GL-5 oils.
Washing the bike tonight, I notice that the gearbox drain plug is very near the cross-over, but that is in another post.
Thanks again...
Well it's time to change the oils myself. You can get 10W-60 engine oil at the BMW showroom OK, but AGIP no longer offer what Guzzi recommend for the gearbox and transmission. What do the experts suggest?
