Getting my Bellagio wheels of the ground

While this is the Griso/Bellagio thread.. I'm not 100% sure on the similarities between the two models. I do know that Moto Guzzi offers a 'maintenance stand' under P/N GU973243500010 for the Griso. I believe it comes with a stand to place under the oil pan, there's a flat spot on the bottom of...

    New guzzi owner

Interesting look, the airbox is located underneath the seat, the toolbox location is under the seat. Also, the plastic tail on the griso protects the rider from anything the tire might spit up; water, mud, etc...

    AFR readings?

good questions, i'm curious as well. a guess as to why 13:1 is recommended for Guzzi instead of the typical 14.7:1 is because it's air cooled? running slightly rich seems it would be better than running any lean with an air cooled engine. running a little lean would probably damage an engine...

    Leaking Battery and Failed Tray

Also, I might add that my experiences dealing with warranty and corporate at the company I work for(not cars or motorcycles), warranty is a joke. They don't pay the labor it actually takes to complete the repairs properly, it doesn't pay the typical shop labor rate to cover overhead costs of the...

    Leaking Battery and Failed Tray

Hmm.. I think this may upset any dealers that read this. I agree that a manufacturer should stand behind their product. It seems the Yuasa (my battery from the factory was a Yuasa) battery is the part that failed and subsequently caused the battery tray to fail from the battery acid eating away...

    Leaking Battery and Failed Tray

A 'sealed' battery will boil off acid and escape from the cells? A damaged, cracked, battery case would leak battery acid.. ya? Does the Guzzi computer have an 'overvoltage' threshold that will throw a warning? If so, that's pretty cool and my bike is smarter than I thought.. :D

    Intro & Griso Questions

Welcome Patrick K. I'm from Northern Illinois as well.. I own a black '09 Griso 8V. the worst reason possible?? one of the main reasons I bought my Griso is her amazing looks and uniqueness. Sport? Yes.. but not like a crotch rocket. Touring? Yes.. but not like an Ultra Glide. Coast to...

Odd one - anyone got a Stucchi tail tidy?

You had resistance when measuring between between battery + and light unit +, and had resistance between ground (earth) and light unit - ? Making these measurements will measure for excessive resistance or corrosion, or an open in the circuit.. there should be less than a few ohms when making...

That's an interesting thought.. good idea and I suppose that would work!
  16. 312griso8v

    Digital Gear Indicator

that would seem to be the logical deduction.. when your clutch starts slipping, wouldn't you just replace it anyway? how long are you going to ride with the clutch slipping and during that time.. just go back to the way 99% of the riders count gears...

Liquid cooled engine in the making for 2014?

Interesting. I've never owned a Harley, I've always viewed them as poorly designed air cooled engines that leak oil and shake themselves apart while overheating the rear cylinder. When you talk about good fuel economy and performance, which engine size in which motorcycle are you talking about...
