Hi Luca, if you do go for the 1200 make sure all the garantee work has been done, the 1200s had some trouble with the cam followers so make sure its been done. I have an 1100 and I must say the clutch is a bit sharp, makes riding in town and traffic jams and the like a bit of a pain but that...
At tick over my gear box clatters a lot, got to do with the 270° engine so they say. bang short pause, bang long puase, but once I'm moving its only at really low speeds when I can still hear it. Nearly six years old now done it all the time, only done 8.5 k km though. Could be that your TB's...
Re: Griso, Noge and classic v7
Hoi Ab, Do you have you Guzzi serviced ? or do you service it your self ? if you have it serviced which guzzi dealer do you use ? I took mine once to Nijmegen and was not impressed at all so I didn't go back there, next time I went to Barendrecht and I thought...
Is the #68 map suitable for the 1100 ? I'm not really over the moon with my 1100 when in town, out on the road it's great but a pain in the butt in town.
On all the bikes I've had, and thats been quite a few I have always used Copper washers, a couple of bikes came with alu washers but when I changed them it was always for a copper washer but I do anneal them first , never had a problem ! When I bought new banjo joints for my Ducati brakes I got...
Nah the race didn't last that long, it was only untill we caught up with the traffic in front of us !! so he couldn't get away even if he wanted to !!!!! 8-)
Hi Todd, no idea what vintage it was, the only reason I know it was a GSXR 1100 is because I thought about getting one myself back in the mid 90's. Never did though. I do think the Griso is too low geared though, it fly's much too easy into the red. Shame you just cant bolt on a smaller spocket !!!
I had a bit of a race today with a GSXR1100 and I think the Griso held its own pretty well, of course I don't know whether the GSXR was really trying but I think the guy was surprised that I was still over his right shoulder. Anyway , to the point, this was the first time I've ever revved the...
I Had my guages re-sealed as I didn't wanna do it my self but when I saw how easy it was I though I should have just done it my self, anyway as I said I had it re-sealed and the guy done the job meticulously but it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference, when the sun shines on it it steams...
Hi Jdelv, on the photo I posted with the beer tap on it you can see the molding on the throttle body with the numbers on it, the bypass screws are in those hollow moldings, using a short flat screw driver in the bottom of the molding you can adjust the bypass screws. At least one of the bypass...
Here's a picture of my beer tap, I checked the bypass screws yestoday and they were both open, one 1/2 a turn and the other 3/4 so I closed them both 1/2 a turn and the idle was much better strait away. I checked the vacuum and at 3000 rpm it was fine and at idle i just closed the other screw...
My Idle is quite high but I put a little plastic tap from a beer brewing set into the hose that goes to the stepper motor, you can find the hose just behind the left hand throttle body, about 15 mm thick, if you pull it off the air box to block the hose put some sort of cap over the pipe you...
Hi Mark, My owners manual only shows the rear shock and it tells you how the front fork comp' and rebound should be set but not which screw is what but I'll download the manual on here and have a look. Cheers.
I've read something about this before on this forum but can't really remember what the cure was, I've had the clock resealed by the Guzzi dealer but it's still the same, as soon as the sun shines the clock steams up, I've got a screen on my Griso and since I've had it its never been out in the...
