Boy , time flies . i didn't see your reply till now but better late than never . I traded the griso in for a Stelvio and am a happy camper as the bike fits me much better . Late in the season but maybe a rendezvous before the bad weather hits . I see Brian from CR the odd time but have been so...

    Considering a new Stelvio

Hey Marc , I ordered the cal sci windscreen and there's no way it fit without rubbing the nose cone . The washers they provided did'nt do the trick . Its still sitting in the garage so maybe hope . What modifications did you do to make it work and hows the wind noise when in top gear ? Cheers...

    Considering a new Stelvio

You'll love this bike . I picked up my new 012 in April and after 4,000 kms is starting to loosen up a bit and runs great . Apparently gets better and better up to 10,000 kms ! I ordered Todds remapped ECU (has them on this site) shortly after getting the bike as European emission standards make...

Guzzi Stelvio NTX vs Ducati Multistrada, Road Runner Magazin

Re: Guzzi Stelvio NTX vs Ducati Multistrada, Road Runner Mag Great stuff guys . I just forwarded to a friend considering a Stelvio . Very unbiased and truthful article . I saw the video also posted a longtime ago and thought it pretty biased towards the Duc . These guys are young and too...

    Stelvio windscreen

I just got the newer Cal - sci windscreen for my 012 and the washers don't do the trick , still binds to the front of the nose cone and would ruin the paint in no time . I could probably get some rubber washers to build up the space but not sure it would work Pretty pissed at having to pay for...

    unhappy new owner

Yep , your right . This Guzzi is anything but boring and will just get better and better the more miles I put on it . I'm bias but what the hell ! Hope our friend hangs in and gets it sorted so he'll know what its like . Cheers .

    unhappy new owner

I just picked up my new 012 a couple of weeks ago and same thing with the clutch groan . Never ever happened on my Griso . Other than that the bike runs great . Very important to have a good dealer that knows these bikes . Not like the Japanese bikes that run 100 % right out of the box . Keep on...

    New to Guzzi!

OK , I'm curious about fixing the fueling and you say let it breath . Should I be looking at a power commander and if so , what type ? As for breathing I'm certainly in for doing anything to improve the bike although throttle response isn't bad but not perfect . Much better than the Griso with...

    New to Guzzi!

Just got back with the new ride . 2012 Stelvio NTX and I love it . First time I've really been totally comfortable on a motorcycle for any distance . My 35 inch inseam didn't quite fit the Griso and wind buffeting was getting to this aging neck even with the add on windscreen . I couldn't...

    New to Guzzi!

I'm picking up a new 012 NTX Thursday . The mirrors are that crappy ?? I've heard some rumors . What should I be looking at for replacement ? I've never liked the mirrors on my Griso I'm trading in but they've held up ok . Its an 09 and never had any problems since new . I'm really excited about...

    Norge vs FJR

I ride an 09 Griso 8V but had an 08 Norge before the new motor came out . I liked the bike a lot , the way it handled , looked and of course the fact it is an air cooled twin . However , the performance from the new motor (8V) in the Griso had me hooked . Now that its in the Norge I'm thinking...

    Griso to Norge Anyone?

Bill , you are an eloquent writer , quite talented I'd say . You were kind enough to comment on my query about going from a Griso 8V to a V11 without calling me foolhardy . I've been pondering your comment and also called a dealer friend who has a V11 and he also said there was very little...

    V11 Sport from a Griso 8V

Thanks Bill , I figured there couldn't be a heck of a lot of difference and will give this info. some serious thought . I'm good at justifying these things when a bike this nice comes along but I don't need to be as uncomfortable in the long run . I have thought about the Stelvio . The...

    V11 Sport from a Griso 8V

I have a deal pending on a nice V11 Sport . Its an 04 with low mileage and has been very well looked after . I ride a Griso 8V at present but find the bike a little uncomfortable for my size . I've got a 35 " inseam and have always felt cramped riding any long distance . The V11 has lowered...

Battery good but no go !

Interesting , as boosted the battery from the car and it started right up . Let it run for a while then turned it off , tried starting it and same as before (nothing) only the dash flashed service big time . I agree and think its messaging from the ECU . Any clue as to where to find the fix here...

Still trying to get to the bottom of cold battery problems

Re: Still trying to get to the bottom of cold battery proble I just posted about mine but am thinking maybe a computor issue as I hooked up my heated vest to the battery and it started no problem . Now all that happens is a clicking in the solenoid . No dash lights just clicking . The...
