    Installing Larger Oil Cooler

I believe the temperature issue to not be an issue. 130 c is not all that hot. The Stelvio motor runs a full synthetic oil which is engineered to better cope with higher temps and allow it to last longer under these adverse conditions. The larger oil cooler would certainly decrease engine temp...

    Another Stelvio won't start

So after swapping a couple of relays about it now starts everytime. I think I'll go and buy 6 new relays and replace the four as shown and put the other two in my spare parts container on the bike. I was lucky to get home. I would still like to know about error 31 however. Thanks guys for...

    Another Stelvio won't start

Thanks guys, I anticipate your response. It maybe that the relay/s is/are dodgy. I did notice that my lights relay is able to come apart even though it is a sealed unit. Are these relays available from ordinary automotive electrical outlets? Are the relays all the same and would I be able to...

    Another Stelvio won't start

I have a 2010 NTX. I have read the threads re bikes not starting. My symptoms seem different. My engine cranks over. I have tested the starter switch, I have undone all wiring connectors, lubricated and then put them back together. I have 12 volts at the three required terminals on the starter...

    engine crash bars

I have the standard mg ntx crashbars and I tested them real good. I low sided the bike at 80kmh and slid 47 metres down the road. only damage was to crashbars, hand protectors, passenger footpeg. I didn't even bother putting in an insurance claim as I welded a new section into the original...

    Handlebar raisers/spacers

I am using the Vario bar risers which I sourced through www.motorradgarage.com.au They give me adjustability forward and backward with a total rise of 50mm available. Had to re route the throttle cables to the rear of the forks. Easy done though. Hope this helps, Cheers, Peter

    Newb Intro and Laminar Lip

I am 6-3 and have the standard screen with the MRA windscreen spoiler. This is incredibly effective. They don't list one for the stelvio but the DL1000 suzuki v-strom one fits reasonably well. They only come tinted though so I have cut a replacement spoiler out of polycarbonate. Hope this...

    Headlight protection

Here is my home made headlight protector. I used a cake cooling rack from Kmart for the mesh and some 5mm round steel rod that i bent up around a baby formula tin. Then used some 20mm x 3mm flat steel bar for the bracket to underneath the fairing. Mig wire was 0.6mm to be able to weld such thin...

Pete, I am only looking to change the muffler because I want to lower it to make way for a third fuel tank. Aftermarket mufflers are more compact, that's all. No one here said anything about back pressure although I fully understand where you are coming from. As for PC products for the PCV/AT...

Welcome 20boronia, John I'm looking forward to the power commander also. I contacted them but have no response yet as to when they will be available. I'm looking at pipe options too as I am thinking of lowering the muffler down to accomodate a third fuel tank in the space left behind from the...

    Replacement Bars

How tall are you? It can either be a height issue or an angle issue or a windscreen issue. I am 6ft3in and had to fit a MRA windscreen lip and a set of Motorad Garage Vario rissers to suit 28 mm bars. This sorted my ergonomics to make the bike comfortable. However you will need to look at wrist...

    Hand guard Rattle

mine rattled like a mongrel too. I found out that the handgaurd was slightly twisted. Loosen the bolts to the front brake resevoir and rotate slightly. You will instantly see the effect it has on the gap between the hand gaurd and the resevoir. It fixed mine instantly. My mirror also rattled so...
