Cables rattling against underside of tank? Had similar symptoms when I replaced throttle cables on a wee Honda. Drove me nuts.

How do you route your accessary leads ?

From memory, I think my cable was routed down the + side of the battery and onto the frame rail. Zip tied up und turne facing forward until it came out well above the starter motor. Just go about it logically and think "what could get trapped if I put it here?"

What size adaptor is needed to attach a vacuum gauge to the manifold?

Hi Tim. I got my adapters from Davida UK. The guys who do the crash helmets and top spec vacuum gauges.

    Griso Bags

Thought I'd throw in a photo of a tank bag I'd modified. As I couldn't get a decent small tank bag to hold a puncture kit, phone, etc, in the UK, I decided to modify an Oxford 1-2litre bag. It's a magnetic bag but with a few well sewn 20mm quick release buckles and straps on the frame, it the...

    Valve cover oil leak

I`ve only ever used OEM gaskets, but this year i used Blue Hylomar gasket compound to make the gaskets stay in place. Never having used anything other than a little dab of grease to hold them in place i found that after 5000 miles the gaskets moved inwards a little and an oil leak developed...

    Is 7 years too long?

My original battery has lasted 7 years and is still going strong. But to be on the safe side, I`ve opted to buy a replacement. It`s always been connected to a trickle charger when not in use and has never let me down. But, and it`s a big BUT! How much longer could i have expected it to perform...

    OEM Griso Fly Screen order

I've had one of these screens on my Griso for the last 7 years. Great for keeping bugs off your speedo, extra thick screen and it's still on there with never a loose screw, until this year. But it was only the rubber well nuts perishing after 7 years. 4 new well nuts which cost pennies and...

    Griso Low Seat?

These might help. I`m 5`1" and I`ve managed without these for the last 7 years, although I might try the shorter shock when the original is done. The bike cant fall over both ways at the same time, so pick which is your best side to put your foot down. No, I`m not taking the piss, but perfect...

    Lift for a Griso?

To have both wheels off the ground at the same time, just jack the bike up a little under the sump using a trolley jack and a sturdy short piece of wood. e.g. a piece of scaffolding plank, and when its up a few inches, support the wood either side of the bike, this leaves the bike upright with...

Seat height and being vertically challenged

I agree. Just live with it and enjoy it. Why put both feet flat on the floor? The bike can`t fall both ways at the same time. In over 6 years I`ve dropped My Griso twice, TWICE. And that was because the side I leaned it to had gravel underfoot and my foot slipped. It happened, I got over it...

Funnels for motor, gearbox, and carc oil changes ?

So I`m not the only one who`s thinking "For F**S Sake. Stop thinking you`ve got a problem, and just use whatever you can get your hands on, improvise" .

    Griso in the rain issues

Ive had my Griso out in some right poxy cloudbursts, many, many times. Even recently in that weatherstorm that pissed over most of Europe at the beginning of June. Eastern Europe copped the wost of it, but i digress. I`ve never had a wet weather issue with the Griso. Smell of burning rubber...

    Fuel Filter Question

Use proper submersible petrol pipe and throw the poxy clamps as far as you can in the direction of Mandello. Use proper screw and nut type band clamps, and make sure they`re tight `cos if the rubber should ever go soft, off it`ll come.

    Tyres for Griso

I`m on my second set of Dunlop Roadsmarts. Managed to get 10,000 miles out of a pair after I slowed down from using the fantastic grip. They feel like they were made for the Griso. Just visited Coupes Moto Legende in France recently and the Dunlops embarassed a couple of ducati riders that were...

Weird Vibration/Rattle Noise Driving Me Crazy!

Here's a problem that I've had. The gauze/mesh in the side wing panels came loose. They're plastic welded in an became loose, buzzing like a hornets nest. A little high density foam strategically placed and some 2part epoxy glue and presto! No more buzzing. :D
