    Griso Dash Blank

Mine goes blank, freezes at a range of speeds, even inverts the display until I key reset. All through a Perth summer. Definitiely no water involved. I presume it can be the sensor itself at times.

    Fork Seals

cheers Ghezz If I do one more seal I'll have to get it fixed or replaced. I'll see what my NOS socks do for prevention as well

    Fork Seals

Got an itsy bitsy chip on the LH fork and buggered the seal. I can see why those guards are there now but is there anything else you can do to prevent these occuring or is it the perils of upside down forks? I dont remember ever doing even one on my previous bikes conventional shock setup.

update for anyone interested; so only one follower had failed but it had scratched the cam lobe which required their replacement as well. Took a couple of weeks but im back on top now. Boy two weeks without a bike was like coming off methadone! (i imagine right?) the nice thing was to finally...

Yeh its Mario. A tough lesson already learned there. Can these deteriorate differently if setup differently or is it more about material integrity from the get go? Its been 5 days wihtout riding and im getting real antsy. Hope those parts arrive soon. Thanks for the explanation gez

i'd heard of tappets of course but not followers. apparently the same thing? I have tried looking for them in the parts manual but cant orientate. Can someone give me the idots guide on what they do? Are they like lifters? Well after a decent run last weekend I heard a louder than usual engine...

    fueling

Thanks, i figured but had never seen it so burnt looking. Cleaning is easy enough but I was more concerned about what the inside of the motor could look like.

    fueling

Theres heaps of great info here on fueling and the need to run less lean and in due course, i,d like to do Todd's adjustments but in the meantime'd be interested in some opinion about the liver spots on my header pipes. I've posted a pic and would direct your attention to a purpleish patch...

    What do you guys think?

I got this one and really like it. Not quite as gratuitous but steel and I presume long lasting. http://www.mgcycle.com/product_info.php ... ts_id=2742

GRISO 8v Bars my solution (a bit long winded).

Sweet job Mark. Can you start knocking out a set for me? 8 hours at a nominal rate of say 2.50 . Lets call it 20 bux a pair?

    Fuel mileage Griso 8V

Its been flogged in other threads but just to put my metric 50 cents in. I get 210km to reserve light and i've just hit 12,000k.

    dead lift

So the gloss on my 11500k Griso has been unceremoniously rubbed off! Its winter down here and water has been getting into my speedo, enough for me to park differently at home looking for the driest overhead spot. So instead of turning the bars towards the left after I double check the side...

    New to the site

Ive got the 8v and of course love it to death but my comment is more on the vf750f. I used to have the blue and white one. Bought it in 85 and it was my intro to 3/4 liter horsepower, four season riding and sweet babe pillions. Damn they were gurd times! But that was 25 years ago and through...

PICS! Designed/built my own license plate bracket for $2.50

Re: PICS! Designed/built my own license plate bracket for $2 that looks great but over here I'm not sure if I can hang plates vertical but it makes the rear look very sharp, especially with your new indicators on order!

    My Skidmarx....Left a Mark

Now thats particularly good timing. I've just fitted mine earlier this evening and wondered about the clearance after I wondered about the tightness of the nuts all round. Might just be taking it apart and applying Loctite. If Blues no good what type is 'locked' :?:

    suspension tension

Geared up 68kg. more after tea. oh and those Michelin pilots are the bomb. Chicken strips already down to 1/2 an inch

    suspension tension

I managed to get to 9,000k before committing to new tires and went for the Michelin Pilot road 3's. We'll see what we get out of the dual compound but I also got the suspension adjusted to my weight at the same time. I cannot believe the difference it made across the whole bike. Much more...

Must do mods for Griso owners!

Wow Andy. Now thats taking esoteric to a new level. In that pic of the twin pipes, do you know who makes that tail tidy. I've been looking at a few of them but with the aftermarket blinkers, it looks sweet. I can see my private plate fitting nicely on that
