There is ZERO tolerance on personal attacks and ANY HYPERLINKS to PRODUCT(S) or other competing website(s), including personal pages, social media or other Forums. This ALSO INCLUDES ECU DIAGnostic software, questions and mapping. We work very hard to offer commercially supported products and to keep info relevant here. First offense is a note, second is a warning, third time will get you banned from the site. We don't have the time to chase repeat (and ignorant) offenders. This is NOT a social media platform; It's an ad-free, privately funded website, in small help with user donations. Be sure to see the GTM STORE link above; ALL product purchases help support the site, or you can upgrade your Forum profile or DONATE via the link above.
Be sure to see the GTM STORE link also above for our 700+ product inventory, including OEM parts and many of our 100% Made-in-SoCal-USA GTM products and engine kits. In SoCal? Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. The visual differences are obvious, but hopefully you'll notice the super-fast speed. If you notice any glitches or have any issues, please post on the Site Support section at the bottom. If you haven't yet, please upgrade your account which is covered in the Site Support section or via the DONATE tab above, which gives you full site access including the DOWNLOADS section. Geodoc's post - https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/197/7312.html?start=10 may be of interest... I'll check this stuff out, I hate 'silver' painted aluminium!
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
-Just to update, this is like riding another (even better) bike! I'm delighted -no more pops & unexpected hesitancies in low revs, a clean surge of power -& over 53 mpg (British gallons). Thanks Todd, I'm really made up.
Now let's see what I can do with those...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
DOH! Thanks Todd.
I found an adapter lead with screws at both ends, went out in the snow & it connected immediately. Sometime after the ice melts, I'll get to the next stage...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Installed on 3 pcs & updated (to version 3.01.854) on 2 computers now -one running xp & other Win7.
There are no missing pins, & the keyspan works fine with my Mac to an old Intuos graphics pad. The pc says the adapter is working, connected to com 3, but the VDST...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Not getting far with this -partly because everything outside is ice this week... over the weekend I resurrected an old PC & set it up on some breeze blocks in the garden (!) but got the same results -last suggestion from TR was to run a link in the software called...
it's about 40mm diameter by about the same -some are slightly bigger so it's better to buy from a factor than online, if you have one nearby. Most suppliers will answer an email tho', surely...
I've just looked at my old V50 & there's plenty of room on that (well, in comparison to a Cali) because oil switch is rear of the cylinders & central -mind you I've moved some electrical bits to fit underneath a (non-standard) tank, can't even remember where they were before (that was about 25...
Cheers Joe -it's a bit scruffy around the sender, I know -only partly because of the space problem you mention. Yes, you definitely need to take a tape measure to the bits you plan to fit before you get your wallet out! A mate has suggested refitting the sender somewhere else, with a feed pipe...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Sorry for being unclear -
"The map I'm running is from a bike which didn't have the C0 adjusted though: is there likely to be an issue with this? (mine had it done for the H pipe, but not since I changed my silencers & air filter set-up)"
mapped via power...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Yes, 15M version -unless there's an incompatibility with the particular keyspan adapter, I can't see what the problem is... this is an intel mac, so windows is running properly on the partition. I'll take it to my brothers' when I've a chance, he has a laptop PC &...
I'd be wary of what's here called cold starting fluid -someone warned me of a cracked cylinder head!
I would check for water in the fuel, but first want to know whether the fuel's getting a spark.
I don't know if anyone's posted about this here, but on the UK owners' site Guzzijack has sent this sobering news story:
http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Home/Si ... -death.htm
What have you tried, bud? First call would be to take a plug out, fit it back into the ht socket & see if you get sparks when you hold it against the head & turn the motor over. If it's all as wet as it is here in UK, wear gloves against shock!
You're sure you haven't pushed the kill switch/got...
Re: VDSTS Info - Instructions
Stuck with this on my Jackal... The keyspan adapter (USA 19h) is configured to 'faster, FIFO is 63, the com port test passes.
I'm running Windows XP on a partition of a macbook. Brand new VSTS, but looks as if connections are good -scraped battery terminals anyway...
Still haven't savvied how to put photos up here, so please look at them on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcfuzzi/sets/72157625199368567/detail/ -I've added a few notes there too.
I used a twin contact sender (earth to gauge as well as sensor to gauge) like vdo make -it's important to get one which matches the frequency of the gauge- screwed into a 3-way brass block- ensure that it has the right thread sizes for your model's crankcase & standard oil pressure sensor (-it's...
Nothing much to add but that on my 2000 Jackal I use the cheapest Hagons & BT45s, a Summer screen & a medium one in Winter -I've never had a weave or wobble on mine at silly speeds & only get a bit of liveliness over bumpy & bendy roads -I've accepted that with the unsprung weight of the drive...
It was certainly no cheaper to do my own, but satisfying.

It's been on the bike for 6 months now, works well for me.

Wot? 2 of us in a few days?!!?
I'm on the UK Groups as McFuzzi & Quadroclops, so why not set up another monicker?
2000 Jackal, a few modifications, big smile.
