    2011 tank on 2008 model

Todd - emailed it to you last evening. Let me know if you can help. Thanks! Jeff

    2011 tank on 2008 model

Bringing this thread back to the top... Has anyone come up with a part listing or options for increasing fuel capacity on the early models? I absolutely love mine (09), but with the fueling modifications done (PCV / Autotune) it gets terrible fuel mileage and would like to increase the range...

Replacement Aux Lights for the NTX

Re: replacement NTX aux lamps I've been running a pair of LEDs from a guy on AdvRider site for a year and a half. Very inexpensive and work great. Quality of construction seems good. I would suggest using the heavy duty mount. The light output is very bright, but he also has dimmers that can be...

    Top Box - 2012 Stelvio

I've got the Trax box. Decent construction. Fairly priced. You can purchase lock sets to make all of the luggage use the same key. Matches the factory panniers perfectly (same manf.). The only gripe I had was the mounting rack is at an angle that doesn't match the panniers and in my mind it just...

VDST connection with ECU - just not happening...

Hey All, Just tried to connect again today and it hooked right up??? Not sure what it struggled with the other night but all seems to be well. Not sure if just disconnecting everything and rebooting the computer (a completely fresh session) did it or if it was something else. Has anyone else...

VDST connection with ECU - just not happening...

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to check the settings per Dave's guidance and give it another go. If I don't have any luck I'll contact Techno Research as John has suggested. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks again for the quick replies! Jeff

VDST connection with ECU - just not happening...

Hey All, I wanted to check my throttle body sync and TPS value this evening and for the life of me was unable to get the software to connect to my ECU. It auto found the port but just sat, and sat, and sat trying to connect to the ECU and it never did. I tried about a half dozen times -...

Rain-testing the Stock CARC Vent - Myth Busting ?

Shrike, Were able to quantify how much water was mixed in with the oil? Did you allow it to settle and separate or measure the volume? I think that would help us get our arms around what magnitude of intrusion you had.

Rain-testing the Stock CARC Vent - Myth Busting ?

Hey Leafman - nice experiment and I appreciate your time and efforts. Really this vent type is pretty standard to those used on other manufacturers rear differentials. As a matter of fact, it is almost identical to the one on my Concours 14 so as some have questioned it as cheap or not up to par...

    Trax Top case Mount?

John, Just have whoever makes the leveling spacers leave the tapped holes out. After you mount the spacers (that's using the counter-bored holes) align the new mounting base to your liking, spot the holes for position and drill and tap the spacers accordingly. All, If any of you are unable to...

    Trax Top case Mount?

Hi All, I've attached a ".pdf" file that includes a drawing and virtual model of the spacer. It's really straight forward machine work. I used 6061 T6 aluminum. You will need to remove the factory plastic cover and mount the spacers directly to the structural rack mounting bars. I also have a...

    Trax Top case Mount?

Hey Guys - I visit the site fairly regularly but just enjoy the banter so I don't usually have much to say, but anyway, I made that design and used them for my top box. You will need the Trax generic mounting plate (I'd have to look up the PN), and the big difference is that the adapter blocks...

Let there be light - Spot lights that is...

I really like the new LED technology, but you really have to be careful. On that web site you'll notice that these lights are only putting out 290 lumens. The ones that you see in my photos are 1500 lumens. As a comparison 55W halogen lights are 850 and HID are 3500. The thing I really like...

    If you had a choice ? A Pannier question ? .

I have the Trax 37 liter panniers with the 38 liter top box. Good quality equipment. I don't know the price difference between the Guzzi label version but check out their product info at Twisted Throttle here: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productlist/688 If you choose to go this route...

Damn thing won’t start and I’m out of warranty…..help!

Kurt, I wouldn't worry about the actual value at this point. I would hook up the VDST cable with the motor cold and monitor the change in those input values as the motor warms to see if there is anything obvious, and my guess is that if the sensor is bad you should be able to discern that.

Damn thing won’t start and I’m out of warranty…..help!

I'm going to chime in here real quick... If I understand it right, the bike doesn't want to start and idle, but after it is warmed up runs great. If that is correct, I highly doubt that it is anything electrical - other than sensors or sensor inputs, because that is the definition of a fueling...

Let there be light - Spot lights that is...

Got them from a guy over on the Advrider site. I have attached his web site and the Advrider site thread that includes the discussion surrounding his products. I'm using the model 30 light. http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/hstria ... eFront.bok http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=607184

Let there be light - Spot lights that is...

Hi All, I wanted to add some auxiliary lighting to better light the way out here in the country. Last year I had a deer strike while traveling in Vermont on my C14 (totaled it) and since have been a little more proactive. In that thought I have added some extra candle power to the 'ol Stelvio. I...

    Running like crap & solution

Vacuum leaks are one of those things that can creep up over time and not noticed immediately and be very hard to find. My experience has been by having a motor that wonders up and down at idle is a "tell tale" sign. On another note... Are you using the VDST software to reset your TPS? If so...
