Like the new V100, GuzziTech is full throttle into the future! We're now running on an all-new server and we've updated our Forum software. I hate to dredge out this topic again as I know it has been run in the ground, but I'm having no luck finding pictures of the procedure, etc. I have it all apart, and there's a black plastic cylindrical part that the tumbler fits in on one side and the cast metal piece fits over on the inside...
Can someone direct me to the fix for EV sticking gas caps? Mine finally got swollen to the point key breakage is imminent. I know the thread is on here somewhere, but I can't find it.
Man, that sounds like a fun and exciting trip. A long ride and a new bike to boot. That's the way I want to do it when the money finally burns a big hole in my pocket. Not to mention, it's about riding weather here in the SE ;)
You might think I'm kidding, but I'm very serious. Besides, I've never been to Toronto. Isn't your Stelvio still under warranty? Can't it be fixed at any authorized MG dealer? Won't the warranty work be done for free? Is the cost of a plane ticket to Georgia too much to have it fixed at a...
Hey, FBC. You want me to bring a trailer up there, pick up the Stelvio, and bring it down here where I bet I can find someone to fix it?
Here's the deal. I get it fixed here (to perfection), ride it back to Toronto for fun, and you fly me back home.
How about it? Don't take too long to...
Yep, but more like the displacement of 7 1/2 Guzzis (well the V11s anyway)
I would guess it gets about 1/7.5 in fuel economy too. Let's see, that's about 6 mpg  But, OTOH it won't run but maybe 50% faster before the rider falls off. I think I'll just hang onto my slow EV :silly:
OK, good news this morning :)
After about 4500 miles on the valve job and new rings, I decided to do another compression and leak down test for comparison.
Before the shop time, the leakdown was 100% on the right side and 27% on the left.
Compression was 65 on the right and 143 on the...
Re:D.I.Y. Registry
I did something, but had not a clue what was meant by "short catchy phrase" and "description" since I had already added a caption to the photo (which never showed up) and also a description which did show up. However, I just made up a "short catchy phrase about flypaper"...
Todd,
I have my PayPal account set up to automatically send you a few bucks each month. I hope it's going to the right recipient.
BTW, this is an easy way to donate. You don't have to remember anything ;)
Are you getting anything from this end?
Sweet
That's what a motorcycle should be used for, and thanks for the report and pictures. Now it's time to eat after looking at some of your food pictures.
BTW, I can't get the emoticons to work ???
Two thumbs up to everyone involved:)
I might have to change my standard answer when someone asks me how fast my Guzzi is. Normally I say "not too fast, 'bout like a Harley". Now I'll have to add "except for the Mandello Meteor, it's in a class by itself"
:) :) :) :)
Greg, could you inform the unenlightened which models of Guzzis this applies to and maybe give a brief description of how to take the cush drive apart for servicing? Might be good to include instructions on how to get it back together also:blush:
TIA

Very interesting. I wonder if our old campfire method of settling coffee grounds will work with tea? We traditionally use egg shells from the breakfast, added to the big coffee pot to help settle out the grounds. I never knew if it actually worked better than just letting...
