    So Long

Well, at the second time of listing on ebay I’ve been able to off load my Gll. The end, finally, of a broken dream. When I first saw this bike in yellow it was quite clearly the best looking production bike for me. And made by Guzzi, seuremly win win? I spent six months tracking one down in this...

    Termi

Will a Termi can for a 4v Griso run OK on an 8v Griso? Is there in fact any difference in the Termi cans offered for each of these machines? Thanks

Still trying to get to the bottom of cold battery problems

Re: Still trying to get to the bottom of cold battery proble Yeah I busted the connector on one of my leads a year or two back. That RH bend is not really a great design in this respect. I just drilled a hole in what's left and bolted it back up. And Yeah, I'm never confident on mine as to...

Is this stricly condensation ? Or something else

I wouldn't consider that the 65 miles ett covers each way would in any way constitute running short trips. The bike is surely going to get as hot as its ever gonna under prevailing conditions over that mileage. That being the case it suggests that Pete's view that the Rocker covers remain cool...

    handelbar size

I believe they are 1" though thinned at the ends to 7/8" hence you would need the latter size. BTW - I've just fitted these to my Sportster (1") and they seem quite impressive, and it does mean you can keep your OE grips. http://www.windingroads.co.uk/shop/prod ... d_grip_kit I got the rocker...

    Givi A755N vs A750

A big ole tank bag does it for me.

    Numb fingers on my Griso

Lean into the breeze more and relax. I run with some self adhering pipe tape around the twist grips on all my bikes to give a better grip. Goes lovely and tacky when you have the hot grips fired up too.

    Stucchi Griso Fairing

Sounds like around a cool 1000 GBP to ruin your bike. Bargain.

    fueling

I think that they all do it. Some folks take the trouble to polish these things out. I see it as just part of the degradation process, between cradle and grave so to speak.

Some questions on the Griso SE.

From what I've read on the forum over the ages these motors do seem have a tendency to be quite noisy. And not always uniformly so. Accepting that you're not caught up in the cam recall fiasco, also substantially documented hereabouts, then I don't suppose it's an issue. My older 4v is quiet as...

    287mm shock absorber

Not sure what a 'lux' shock absorber, but you could try talking to Hagon. I'd imagine they can do whatever you want.

    Throttle body ballance

Re: Noisy gear box /Throttle body ballance I might be in a minority here but my view is that on the G11, and particularly the earlier ones the problem lies more in slack through the transmission. My '06 was piggin awful when I first got it (s/hand with 1500 miles on it) real racket when hooking...

Any body parting out 8v griso

But on the other hand we're only talking the rear brake here - surely not life threatening to lose that. I'd weld.

    Faultless foreign foray

Problem that we suffer with my crew is that Our 'main' bikes are used almost exclusively for three or four foreign forays a year. Pretty much the only UK miles they do are getting to and from the ports. Back in the day when you were using the same bike on a day to day basis any failures incurred...

    Faultless foreign foray

My pal has suffered two break downs in somewhere around a dozen trips onto mainland Europe on his G11. First time he lost the trip, second time he relayed home and then headed over on my '89 Sportster. I don't think that record is particularly good. I've had a dead battery, blown fuses and weird...

    G11 Roll on

My pal and I have '06 G11s registered here in the UK within a few weeks of each other. Both with around 9 - 10k miles on the clock. We're about the same weight and the only difference apart from his being black and mine yellow, is that I'm running a Termi with no db killer, he's on stock. On...

    New to the site

I'm 5'11'' and carry a lot of that height in my legs. I found the riding position somewhat cramped, but the Buell peg lowering kit made all of the difference. Details with part numbers are held against another thread hereabouts.

    Fuel pump recall, recall

Ah, I see we have pretty much covered the subject now under 'Griso Fuel Pump/Hose Info'

    Fuel pump recall, recall

Last trip out to Mainland Europe my pals Griso died out on the M25, so he never even made it across. Diagnosis at the side of the road was failed fuel pump. It's just come back from (the original supplying) dealer repair. Apparently this is the 3rd Griso they have had with the same problem - all...

    Slip ... Chip

Ended up cleaning it all carefully and then supergluing on. Then built the back up a little with two pack araldite. Noted the way this area interacts at the corner of the tank and spaced it off with a washer to ease stresses and strains here. I could do with touching up along the hairline crack...
