    Handle bar for 1100 Griso

Thanks for the reply! I like how you have set up your Griso.

    Handle bar for 1100 Griso

Sorry to revive old thread, but have been looking at new handlebars such as LSL. Thanks for posting pictures and comments. Curious what is the 1-piece top handlebar clamp on your Griso? Is it from a Stelvio, another vendor or custom made?

    DB Killer - Zard?

Thanks Steve. I've also got similar confirmation from a local guy with the same pipe. Doesn't kill many dBs but does make a difference. Guess I don't need a new one after all. On mine, the rust forming on the snap ring keeps it from rotating; never had that issue actually.

    DB Killer - Zard?

Todd, thanks for the reply. I see you sell Zard exhausts and are listed on Zard's corporate website. If you have a contact that could get a price and availability, I'd appreciate that. I wonder if it is possible that one could be welded up locally if the cost of one from Zard is prohibitively...

    DB Killer - Zard?

I have a Zard "race" slip-on exhaust on my Griso which came with the bike when i bought it. I removed the big snap ring to experiment without the DB killer and found the tip came out but no pipe after it. If looks like there is some fixed pipe inside the exhaust along the perforations and...

    8V SS Valve Cover Bolts.

Installed my new SS bolts. They look great and the socket heads are perfect. My 2011 Griso SE has only 6K miles and yet the original bolt heads were starting to look rough. Here are some pics. Thanks Todd and Happy New year to all! The top 2 bolts are original, the bottom 2 are the SS ones...

Griso 8V crashbar, anyone? The Stucchi one sucks!!!

I put on the Hepco Becker crash bars. They were mentioned in an earlier post, but here are some pictures of them: I hope to never find out if they work. ;)

    Griso lower pegs 1"or 2"

I have 1" drop foot pegs on my own 2011 Griso SE. I would have gotten the dropped pegs if they weren't already on the bike when I got it (previous owner added them). I've sat on another Griso with stock pegs and it felt too cramped for me. I have a 33" inseam. I'd probably like even more room...

    Stucchi Hugger, any issues?

I started a separate thread on the Stucchi hugger soon after I installed it. https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/163/10612 It mounts to the torque arm; you slide it forward until it touches the swingarm.

    Stucchi Hugger, any issues?

I have a CF one on my Griso. After 500 or so miles, no issues. Mounting is still tight. It bumps up against the swingarm with a small rubber bumper so not a lot of contact. No cracks either. Great addition overall.

    Plastic oil radiator grid sucks...

I replaced the stock cover with an aluminum one created by Joe Kenny. http://www.swva.net/jkenny/ Nicely machined and finished.

Stucchi Luigi CF Hugger on Griso

The Stucchi hugger only mounts on the right side. When mounting it,, you slide it forwards until it contacts the front of the swing-arm. The left side is not secured. Being carbon fiber, the hugger is pretty stiff. The amount of flex in the hugger from the left side is comparable to that of the...

Stucchi Luigi CF Hugger on Griso

The Stucchi Luigi web site shows both of the above versions and a 3rd "matte" version with what looks like a steel clamp but without the Stucchi logo cutout. The clamp on the "Alutex version" looks like it is the same material as the hugger rather than the steel clamp with the logo cutout like...

Stucchi Luigi CF Hugger on Griso

There is a channel moulded in the hugger. That surface and the u-shaped clamp are lined with rubber. When you tighten the 3 bolts the clamp compresses the rubber strips. So basically friction based on clamp pressure holds the hugger in place.

Stucchi Luigi CF Hugger on Griso

In case anyone was interested, here's what a new Stucchi hugger looks like on my 2011 SE. It mounts only to the torque arm and pushes up against the swing-arm on the right side. I got it from MGCycle. It will be interesting to see how much road water and stuff it blocks.

    Daytime Running Lights

I've mounted some small lights to the front fender mounts. I found some inexpensive lights at http://www.eagleeyelights.com. I was looking for lights for conspicuity. These lights take standard MR-11 bulbs. They came with 20w halogen bulbs. I've replaced those with some Phillips MR-11 LED...

    Griso - heated grips install

Hey Andrew, the fairing is a Dart Flyscreen. There isn't one specific for a Griso, so I bought one for a Triumph Bonneville as the Bonniville also has a 7" headlight. I got the idea from another Griso owner. Works pretty well actually. The Dart screen mounts with the headlight shell bolts and...

    Griso - heated grips install

I just finished installing Symtec heated grips on by 2011 Griso SE. Thanks for posting the steps you took and the pictures. The kit I bought was the Metric External Handlebar grip warmer kit http://www.heatdemons.com/External-Handlebar-Grip-Warmer-Kit-Metric_p_61.html The controller has wires...

    Headlight fairing

I added a Dart flyscreen to mine. There wasn't on specifically for a Griso, so I ordered one to fit a Triumph Bonneville.

Best Tank & Tail Bag combo

I bought the Racepack at Twisted Throttle for $150. It was a demo or something. It seems they have a new version that is over 2x that price: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/bags-connection-racepack-motorcycle-luggage-system-10065
